Quiet friendly

I cancelled my reservation upon arrival and did not go to any room

The furnishings in the room were fine for a budget motel. However: there was no wifi service--the router only occasionally appeared in a scan list and when it connected it didn't have internet. (Fortunately, the signal from the neighboring Econolodge was so strong it carried over and they were kind enough to share their password; note, though, that they don't have a secure server.) The floors in my room looked clean enough but it was quite a shock if you entered the shower and saw how filthy the bottoms of your feet had become after walking around the room for five minutes.

Staff and guests was rude and unwelcoming of my dogs. Area was very ghetto. Building looks very run down.

Noisy, dirty, and rooms smell like cigarettes. I had to switch rooms like 5 times.

The building in front of the hotel which looks like it was once part of the hotel functioning as a restaurant has no roof and is falling down. This gives the hotel a less than stellar appearance. I realize the hotel is very slowly recovering from hurricane damage.

No parking near room.

The rooms was newly remodeled and spotlessly clean. Bed too soft and not enough pillows. Burned-out restaurant in front was alarming until we figured out it wasn't attached to the motel.

It started out not good when i got charged but the owner was very accommodating and told us that for our troubles that the next time were in town he would give us a 15% off our stay.
