Staff were friendly clean room comfy bed

Room was excellent, perfect size for pur family of four while we had a couple of days for my sons birthday. Staff on reception were really helpful, kind and welcoming. Cleaning staff we met and chatted with the kids, were also very kind. Beds were amazing! The hotel is beautiful and is looked after well. Highly recommend! X

A few broken items in the room, however a Lovley stay as always

Rooms were perfectly clean. The staff extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast was yummy 😋 So are the prices to stay here.

Friendly staff, great value and good location! Rooms were clean although cosmetically not the best with marks on the walls and worn furniture. The bed was bowing in the middle, and the mattress was very soft so I felt like I was sleeping at an angle and also the noise from the road was very loud at times which woke me up a few times. Bathroom was clean and well equipped, shower was good. There was an ironing board and hairdryer which was nice however the iron was leaking. If price and location is the main factor in your stay then I would recommend this place.

Room was clean and warm friendly staff

We stayed in room 222, the lifts were out of service so had to walk the stairs and then it’s quite a long walk with further stairs to navigate to get to said room. Room was clean but in need of renovation, room was cold with no room temp control. A small electric heater was provided but unless sitting close to it this didn’t make a huge difference. Hot water didn’t work in the evening, after having a cold shower for ten minutes at 8:30 am the warm water eventually came through, why it took so long no idea. For the price we paid though we couldn’t complain. Staff were lovely and helpful, couldn’t fault them. Breakfast is the morning had plenty of cooked options and was fine. As said the room itself and the long walk to get there was the disappointing aspect of the stay and could do with some investment. But everything else was ok.

Great location, clean and tidy. Hotel is a little dated but that made no difference to us. The room recycling rules are unfathomable. One point to note - we went on a walking tour which revealed the Angel is the most haunted building in Cardiff!

Nice place, comfortable and stylish. Does need a bit of sprucing up. Good location, close to bars and restaurants. Parking across the road, and Cardiff Castle over the road.

Staff were lovely and friendly, polite Rooms were uncomfortable didnt get much sleep as bed was particularly uncomfortable. Cleaning of the room could be better toilet was stained like it isnt scrubbed very often and some dust . Paint work could do with touching up in parts. Breakfast was poor not good didnt eat much .

General impression is shabby but elegant

Room was clean and large. Great location for Cardiff and room had everything we needed for the stay. WiFi was also really solid and reliable. Some areas of hotel were dated but given the building is old this is understandable and is great in some ways as some of the character features are great, We had 2 incidents with key cards stopping working and 1 incident on final night with really loud inconsiderate people in room next door but staff were very quick and helpful in dealing with all incident and cannot be faulted.

Great stay at the Angel, really enjoyed my stay, The staff very helpful, nothing was to much for them, The room was fantastic, bathroom excellent, Can't say anymore, Hope to stay again in the future?

Spacious, clean and quiet staff were good. It was an on suite I would stay here again I would recommend it.
