Lovely space and the food in the restaurant was fantastic!

Located close to the train station. Comfortable room. The breakfast was very good the dinner less so. The staff was very helpful.

this was our second lenghty stay at the Majoren. August 2023 was the first. As was the case last August, we again enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a nice boutique hotel very close to the train station and central square as well as the university. The station (trains and buses) is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff are so nice and helpful. I want to compliment Tilda, the rest of the front desk staff, Maria and the other breakfast/dinner staff, Silva, one of the housekeeper's and the rest of the housekeeping staff. Our room again faced the train station but we didn't hear the trains as much this time. the hotel provides breakfast and dinner. Both were very good and very fresh. Although fried foods are a large part of Swedish dinner, we always found enough on the dinner menu. Each night there is one main entree but always several different salads, soup, and delicious bread. the hotel has 2 buildings. Our preference is to stay in the main building. We've now stayed a total of 16 days and we've enjoyed both of our stays. We would stay again at Majoren without hesitation.

Great stay. Nice and friendly staff.

We stayed for 10 nights in August. Staff was wonderful-at the front desk and housekeeping. I'd like to mention Elins at the front desk and the other people who manned the front desk. Also, Silvia, 1 of the housekeepers; she was so helpful and nice. When we checked out, I left a package for my daughter and told Elins that she would pick it up sometime in the next week but I wasn't sure when. The package was there when my daughter showed up 6 days later. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Fresh bread for both and nice selection of choices to eat. When we heard there was only 1 entree selection per night, we wondered what the entree would be and if it would work for us. 2/10 nights we weren't keen on the entree but every night there was also a selection of multiple salads and a soup. Overall, we were satisfied and having dinner at the hotel was convenient and worked. The hotel has character and is kinda like a boutique hotel. There are 2 buildings-main bldg and another across the street. We liked staying in the main bldg. Our room was spacious (superior rm) and comfortable; we asked for lighter blanket covers (during the winter the heavier quilt probably works). The hotel is extremely convenient to the central square and main area of Skovde, the train/bus station, bus stops on the street, and University of Skovde (a 5 minute walk).Only slight negative, the rooms face street and ours faced train station so somewhat noisy at night. But, not hotel's fault. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay included a dinner and breakfast buffet which were delicious. The lobby was also a comfortable place to relax and have a coffee. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The stay was excellent, we were Happy , the free dinner is really à good idea and good reason /promo to attract clients and we were atracted to it. P.S The gym and sauna is a great plus! we are coming back!

Stayed here before and do like the hotel but was very upse that the room was not cleaned after our first night. When I complained to the front desk in the evening they told me i had been informed by a sign on the desk that cleaning needed to be requested because of new Covid rules! When I asked why they didn’t let me know this when checkin in the front desk lady told me that they had been instructed not to!! I find this outrageous and clearly done on purpose to save on cleaning personel.

Hotel was alright. Clean and well maintained. Nice with both breakfast and dinner included. Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice looking, but we got an attic room with a ceiling window. Made the room feel like a small cave. The corona slots at breakfast didn’t work out well. Lines were long and left little time to eat. An improvement would be to start with 15 minutes slots and thereby spread out people’s arrival.

Really nice stay. The location is great and the included evening meal was surprisingly good. Bathroom in our room was a little worn down but all in all a great stay.

Very clean, good location close to city center and university - small room but ok for one person, typical European shower - water all over the floor if you take a full shower

Friendly and serviceminded staff. Room was nice and clean and bigger than expected. The hotel is located in the middle of Skövde. Walking distance to all stores and train station. Big parking lot just outside so no problem getting rid of the car either. Whole family was happy with the stay!

Tv felplacerad utan casting och tråkiga, lyhörda rum. Men välstädat och fantastisk personal. Jättebra mat!

Väldigt god middag som ingick i priset för hotellrummet. Även frukosten var mycket bra

Rum var lite kallt för mig som fryser ganska lätt. Just på den rum som jag befinne mig saknar några handtag för sma handuka och samt stora Par toflor skulle bli uppskattade, när man gå på toa sent på kväll ,eftersom golvet är gjord av keramik. Nackedel att tillåter hund, det är att resenären har även med sig hund till matsalen då jag upplever att det är inte många som gillar detta. Annans är hotel helt okej.
