We spent a week here with two dogs and somehow it was not a nightmare. The room was quite large and carpet-free which is a good thing with pets. The beds were a bit too hard, the pillows excellent. The thermostat is over-engineered and incomprehensible. Great shower. Badly-placed light switches. And the free breakfast was not a high point. So, if I have some complaints, why five stars? Two things: the vibe. I know that's vague, but JHouse has a great vibe. And second: Tony's restaurant. 5 meals and not a step wrong. The staff is professional and motivated. The food is excellent as is the bar. It's a fun place. Long years ago I waited tables and I'd have liked to work at Tony's. My sole complaint? The soup spoon was too small and I wanted that lobster bisque in my mouth faster. Add a bakery right across the street, a gourmet food store, a pet store a block away, and all the Autumn colors in November. In all, a lovely experience.

Janice, the GM, was gracious, professional and caring of guests and staff. She sets a great example! The room is spacious— very clean. Nice bar areas. The breakfast was nice for grab and go options (fruit, bagels, yogurt, coffee, granola bars). Convenient location for family who live nearby.

Quick overnight stay but had to check out for an early flight before the breakfast was open. That was my only disappointment as breakfast was included with the room.

Had our reservation canceled due to overbooking 1.5 hours prior to check in time. They did arrange for us to stay at Hyatt hotel down the street. Took a week and myself to reach out to J House to get a refund as stated in a letter given to us. They only partially refunded due to room being booked through Expedia and not them directly.

My husband and I have been coming here since Covid ! Whenever we want a quick little getaway not so far from home , we come here ! The pool is nice and relaxing ! We love it at J house. !!!

Fun and funky this mid-century modern feeling boutique Hotel had a wonderful manager on premises to really navigate a few of small bumps that we ran into. We were a little bit, disappointed in the on property restaurant, but that was easily remedied. Fun and funky with a wonderful outdoor pool. I highly recommend this hotel. The only small negative for us was the toilet was very loud so if one of us was sleeping and decided to use the loo, we were short to wake up or sleeping partner as the toilet revved up and the fan kicked on and it flushed automatically so make sure you’re on the same peace schedule with your sleeping partner if this bothers you.

Very up to date with modern conveniences, such as the Japanese toilet and remote control window shades and lighting. Beautiful outdoor pool. Better than adequate continental breakfast included.

We live in Connecticut, but needed a change of scenery. This was the perfect weekend getaway! We felt like we were out of town on vacation! The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, the pool was relaxing, and the room was very comfortable! We will definitely be back!
