Breakfast was very minimal and was lacking. It was highly disappointing. A few cold pastries that had almost ran out by the time we came down for breakfast, juice, coffee, tea,fruits and yogurt.

We stayed at The Senator in the cold weather of March and the heat was perfect, warm and toasty. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff went above and beyond to help us. My sister was in the RUH and the family chose the Senator because of the beautiful walk to the Hospital. The Senator made our trip into less of a hospital visit and more a visit of famiy.

The rooms were spacious, clean and very nice. Bed was excellent. Appreciated the gated parking. Perfect location if you want to be in the heart of downtown. Winstons is great!

Small room, but nice. Everything seemed very dated, the elevator, the parking lot gate (u had to call the desk to get in and let them know when u were going out) Wasn't dirty but there was lots of wear, wall outlet was pulled out, one switch didnt work, bathtub had chips. The view was over the parking lot and into the alley. Breakfast was horrible, and does NOT come from on site restraunts, was just store bought muffins and coffee/tea and juice. Location was fantasic

BEWARE THIS WAS CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD IN US DOLLARS! It's an older vintage hotel which is fine exceot for the musty mothball smell in the hallway and our room. Staff were great and helpful. I'm not happy this was charged in Us Dollars though

Staff was wonderful. The hotel itself has character. It is the oldest hotel, I believe, and one of the staff members was telling me about its story. 1908 it was built. The hallway is very spacious. Convenient location downtown.

So happy this affordable option is available. Saves us a lot of money over other nearby hotels and is good enough for a bed for the night. Beware though, some rooms are directly over the pub, which plays teenie tunes on weekend nights I guess. It’s great to have in-house fine dining, the English pub, and basement pub/microbrewery. All are super-great and you don’t even have to leave the hotel! It’s a unique set up that ads to the appeal of the place. Limited but gated/secure parking in the rear. It’s an old hotel and has a very nostalgic feeling which is cool. Hope it stays that way.

The hotel common areas and guest room was very clean. Spacious room, great location.

Room was nice but needed a few updates like rug and furnature. It was clean. Staff were excellent! Enjoyed Flanigan's and the pub.

Corner room was great. Winstons pub very handy. Heater in room was fairly loud.

Staff and atmosphere are the highlights. It is like stepping back in time in a good way.

Yes room was very clean, nicest room we've had & we stay there often. The bathroom however was cold enuf to hang meat in. Floor hurt your feet. Love the Senator, love its quirks tho.

Fun old hotel close to bars

Nice staff. Clean space. Antiquity and history of the hotel.

This hotel and rooms have beautiful architectural features. Built in 1907 the rooms contains most of the original features. Why is it a three star? The has little sound proofing with noise coming from the street you can hear conversations off the sidewalk. With the age of the hotel the water pressure is low and the room has that damp smell of old buildings, the rooms could use air circulation. Would I stay here again? I would prefer to stay in a modern hotel with up to date amenities and better sound proofing, but I am glad to have stayed there and feel the history.

Friendly and helpful staff with good house keeping. It’s clean, comfy and quiet. 10/10
