No air conditioner. Only tower fan and ceiling fan.

We visited during a pretty warm time of the year and I was concerned when I found out the rooms would not be air conditioned however, the rooms were equipped with ceiling fans and electric fans and this along with the open windows were more than enough to keep the room comfortable. The location can not be beat for exploring as it is right in the heart of the city and was so easy to walk to great restaurants and entertainment.

Great location! Beautiful hotel overall, great to have a restaurant and bar on premises as well as a courtyard to enjoy drinks at. Unfortunately the only waiter and bartender mess up the grading for this location

Breakfast, staff, location

I arrived early 6am and had to wait 6 hrs for the rooms. Although, I was willing to pay extra for early check in but apparently there were no rooms available. We had to wait in the lobby/Bar and kept asking if they had any rooms available and I did so because I would see people leaving but I guess they took hours to get the rooms ready. I felt no consideration from the staff as I had a senior with me. I was assigned rooms completely on opposite ends of the building. One on 1st floor on the west side and the other on the 6th floor in the east side. 1st floor room felt stuffy, dark not much ventilation although there are ceiling fans and window, no AC, outdated. 6th floor room fresher, ceiling fan, window and more light. Size wise about the same just different layout. Location is great, food is ok, same menu everyday but there’s a variety from classic breakfast to traditional Zacatecas food. The building does need some update: Air Conditioning, carpets and bathrooms for the 1st floor rooms I would think.

Great hotel to stay in Zacatecas.

The hotel was great the location was excellent right in the center walking distance to everything. The front desk staff could be a bit more friendly but that didn’t ruin our stay. Over all I would recommend this hotel. Looking forward to coming back hopefully by then they have A/C in the rooms.

Just a little comment, the lastest we could check is 1 pm so we went to have breakfast and came back at 11:45am to the room to pick up our stuff and use the restroom and our stuff was gone they were cleaning the room. If check out is the latest at 1 I would think that you would wait until 1:01 pm to actually go into the room and take our stuff.

Could not ask for a better combination of location, amenities and value. The Hotel Emporio met or exceeded my expectations in every way.
