The hotel looks nice from the outside and the lobby. My wife is handicapped so we are very careful where we stay. We found 1 available handicap spot and went in to check in. We were greeted with a very accommodating lady at the front desk. She told us there is a $14 parking fee on top of the cost of the room. This is a first for both my wife and I. We have stayed at probably over a thousand hotels. I am not okay with this. Maybe, I overlooked the information of the hotel when I booked it, maybe not. Not cool. The cost always includes the parking. Even the city of Kamloops has free parking spots for handicapped persons! We went to our room. The rooms are average. There was a partly chewed dogs dentastick beside the one bed. I went into the bathroom next to shower. I immediately realized the shower is set up for short people. If you are remotely close to 6 feet, good luck rinsing off. This is where a handheld showerhead would have helped or a moveable one at the very minimum. I grabbed a kleenex to blow my nose and realized the box was empty after I pulled two of them. I went down to the front desk to get another box. The lady at the front desk brought one up later in the evening. The sleep was decent until someone's dog started barking a couple rooms down. The restaurant should modernize their menu and include gluten-free options for those us with Celiac Disease. Overall our stay was average. Nothing more, nothing less. I have stayed in many better hotels for less money.

Room had a loud noise when the AC kicked in that was disruptive to our sleep. And a weird knocking noise in the wall during the day. Otherwise it was fine.

Good location.

For what we paid for, I would expect free breakfast. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Staff and property is good.. No option to reserve daily breakfast ahead in time..this helps with billing for business travellers..

​We stayed at the Hilton Treetop Hotel for a single night and left with mixed feelings. ​On the positive side, the check-in process went smoothly and without any issues. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired, featuring a very odd and awkward layout. ​The real issue, though, was breakfast. We are typically very easy-going people who don’t like to make a stink, but our time is valuable. It took over an hour and a half to get breakfast for our family of four, which is completely unreasonable. They had a single, brand-new server working the tables who clearly hadn't been trained yet and didn't know her job. Because of this, the service was awful, and the food itself was highly subpar. ​To make matters worse, when we requested to speak to a manager about the situation, there was no manager available on duty. It is incredibly unfair to leave a brand-new employee completely on her own without leadership support, and it ruined what should have been a quick morning meal for our family. We won't be rushing back.

This property was a perfect over night stop over. It was clean, staff was great, bed was comfy, and the view of the mountains was amazing. Highly recommend.

Upgrade your coffee as it was not pleasant both in the room and downstairs. Everything els was amazing great stay and would stay again to enjoy the hot tub and pool!!

The front desk staff and room attends were great. But I think the restaurant was severely understaffed for breakfast.

Nice, clean, quiet stay

If you drive a big truck it’s very difficult to park there. Parking is limited and you have to pay for it. We didn’t get back to our hotel till later in the evening around 9pm and there was no parking let and when we asked the front desk where we should park as we have a bigger truck and couldn’t fit in the underground, we were told to park in the spot that says no parking and they won’t tow us. We were kinda worried at first but that came from the front desk guy who also looked like the manager so I trusted him. We were fine the next morning but the whole hassle could’ve been avoided had they have more parking spaces.

We stayed at the Doubletree Kamloops for 1 night in May 2026 when travelling from Vancouver to Calgary. The hotel itself is fine, what you would expect from a Doubletree, and for 1 night met our needs. The welcome from the front desk was warm and they were keen to interact with our son who was excited for the pool. The pool area is outdoors but not heated and by the late afternoon was largely in shade, so was slightly cool. The hot tub was warm. The pool area was fine but probably not as well maintained as I’d have expected with leaves and other debris floating in the water. We ate both a dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Dinner was a nice meal, average prices but breakfast was usual. The restaurant was deserted when we arrived and eventually a staff member appeared. Again the breakfast was nice but overpriced as per most hotels. The location was adequate for our needs. Did note a lot of ongoing construction in the area. Overall it met our needs.

Very clean comfortable beds. Excellent front end staff and amazing housekeeping. They changed our towel and made our beds. Very few hotels do that these day. The hide a bed however was a little less desirable. You will have to ask for more bedding to sleep on top due to a very spring felt bed. However that’s the only drawback Very quiet and relaxing hotel

No air conditioning or fan in bathroom.

My stay was fine, but a few things knocked down the rating for me. First off, there's a $14 daily charge to park your vehicle, which is absurd. Next, the pool and hot tub were both broken. Finally, the florescent lights in the room were glaring and awful. Like I said, it was fine, but I've already booked a different hotel for my next stay.

Conveniently located near the hospital. Room was clean, updated, and quiet.

The staff is always great, rooms are clean and quiet.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. Not sure whats happening with the food and the bar. I may be wrong but the opening times are a tad short and odd or at least not well displayed. My husband and I stay here one night a month while attending WCT productions and will continue to do so.
