Expensive for one night. A mid-week one night stay should be more reasonable. The hotel rooms should be priced under $200 CAD

Everything was very good other than the restaurant being closed. Staff did provide a long list of other eating establishments close by

Clean room. Breakfast was good. No parking. Staff were good. You advertised a business center. The internet was not functioning. I mentioned this to the front desk at least twice a day during my four day stay and the response was they were going to get the issue resolved. This did not happen. I do not believe a call was made to correct this situation. As a paying customer this was rather disappointing to say the least.

It’s a tired hotel needing some updates. The decor was like 1980’s. The bathroom sink was badly cracked, the shower head was made for someone 5’6” and the room was unbearably warm. We could not get it to cool even after setting the thermostat to 17c.

The only problem was, the TV channels was not all that good, because it was analog, it was not a digital television. They should have smart tvs

Breakfast was decent, housekeeping and front desk staff did great! Room phone and provided cell number called multiple times in a day with less than 5 minutes of notice to move my car to different areas and parking lots around the property due to parking lot cleaning. Very frustrating as there was no prior or ongoing communication and I was in the middle of work every time.

The outside of hotel and lobby is very rundown. The Gymn is poor. Area around the hotel is rundown and had to walk to dining options. The parking lot is broken up asphalt and mostly gravel. The lady at reception was very welcoming, friendly and helpful

Property was a bit dated but you can see it was top class in its day. Very spacious and affordable as well! Perfect for our family

You can tell the ownership cares about the place and is trying to make a good go of it buy they certainly have challenges. It was a big old school full-service hotel from different times so it is a lot of square footage to maintain. The lobby and rooms are very clean but it is getting dated - and the price reflects that. The room was spacious but it has a 32" TV with no HD signal. Watching hockey was not good. This hotel used to have a big restaurant that probably made decent money. Now, it is the breakfast space and it is an ok breakfast. I did not have a chance to check out the pool. The biggest drawback is the location. I had not been in the Soo in a few years. That area was maybe a bit rough but it is worse. There was absolutely nothing open down there on a Sunday night. It is a low-income area and there are a lot of very sketchy characters on the streets. I was quite concerned about my vehicle.and brought a lot of stuff up to my room. Everything in the Soo is up and down Great Northern Rd. We had to go up there to eat and should have just stayed in a hotel there for the extra money. It proves to me that a city cannot revitalize their downtown by simply building a shiny new arena there. I feel for these owners and appreciate their It is not a bad hotel but I don't know if I would stay there again.

The breakfast was horrible - cold eggs, processed cold sausages and a garbage can overflowing, just a bad experience and a poor way to start your day
