Great central location, spacious and clean rooms. The hotel is located on a quiet street. Need to press the door bell to enter the main hotel door. Well-decorated traditional rooms. Within walking distance to Nieuwe Tram and Dijkzigt station. The breakfast offers a simple variety of eggs, bacon, hot dogs, bread, ham, cheese, snacks, yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, coffee/tea, and fruits, etc. The free Wi-Fi connection is good. The hotel staff is friendly and gracious. Overall, good value for the price-I'd stay again.

The reception staff were unhelpful when explaning that there were no towels and no water in the room. Breakfast was reasonable.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location was great and close to many shops and cafes. The room was clean and worked well for my needs. The bathroom was a touch dated, however it was more than suitable. The staff were friendly and assisted me with laundry services which was absolutely clutch for only traveling with a carry on for several weeks.

The hotel is aged but the furniture and care is quite well. It was a comfortable stay. The biggest problems are floor creaks (expected) and in my room corridor light was visible from sides of the door which was not ideal.

For a first time trip to Rotterdam, we were very pleased with Hotel Van Walsum. The neighborhood is quiet but has restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. Our room included breakfast which was very good.

We had an outstanding stay at Van Walsum. The staff were friendly and attentive and we loved our room and the location. Super easy to find transport. The buffet breakfast was tasty and offered gluten free and lactose free options.
