We had a rough time getting our car valeted due to having a bike rack. The hotel also had a hard time tracking down a dog bed for our pet. These were both things we called in advance of and were ensured wouldn’t be an issue but were at check-in. Luckily, both issues were resolved within the first hour of our visit so that we could enjoy the rest of our weekend getaway.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Beds are a dream!

The first hotel I’ve ever stayed at that didn’t offer some sort of complimentary breakfast. They only have a grab&go and a $25 breakfast buffet that had meager offerings. 4 elevators with 1+ minute wait every time. One of the “included amenities” is “pet friendly” but they actually require $100 pet fee so it’s not an included amenity at all and they don’t have a dog run, bags, or ANY nearby grass areas at all. The surrounding block is pretty empty, with the nearest breakfast place 3 blocks away. The coffee place across the street appeared to be permanently closed, and every other spot on the same block was closed on weekends, except 7-11. The staff was very friendly but I would not stay here again for the aforementioned reasons.

Staff was helpful the entire duration of stay. While we enjoyed the amenities, it was disappointing to have a surprise 60$ of fees assessed at the hotel that were not included in the original room cost. Please inform your guests of additional fees upfront so they can make informed purchases.

Beautiful Hotel Extremely Friendly Staff, easily walkable location (Dining, Bars, Grocery Store, Convention Center etc) Only downside is the parking around the hotel is pricy with No in& out privileges besides that everything is perfect

Reem at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She was kind, attentive and efficient and just a joy to speak with. Hotel was nice and in a great location. They offered 2 hour bikes which was a nice touch since you're by the water. They also offered a social hour (beer, wine & snacks) every evening from 4-5p however there was no beer at the social hour for any of the days we were there. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room didn't work well and was not addressed even though we asked about it.

The staff up front were not very friendly or welcoming. Steve in parking area was most helpful. I made a mistake when making reservations through Expedia for 4 nights instead of 5. We arrived on Sunday. On Thursday we were out and received a call at 4:30pm saying we had to get our things and check out, which they could have told us much earlier. We rushed to the hotel and spoke to the staff up front and asked if we could stay one more night. They said they were booked. They didn’t offer to at least help find a room somewhere else. They just wanted us out of the room. I thought that was rude and that they didn’t care. Very poor service. Will not stay there again. I even fixed the sink in the bathroom. It was clogged. I should have charged for fixing it.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. I will definitely be back. My stay was very welcoming and the staff, maids were all very sweet!!

Valet parking

Nice hotel if looking to explore San Diego. Parking was expensive but there are parking lots close by that are cheaper. Would definitely return!

Alway when I come to San Diego have no more option than stay at Westin Bayview becausa I know will be an total excellent option.

Overall the stay was great. Staff was quick to bring an extra robe once we checked in and everyone we interacted with was nice and friendly. The room was clean and spacious and we had a nice view. The only thing I would have to comment on is that on our last day of our stay, we had filled out a breakfast waffle request per the Instructions and it never arrived. We were kind of counting on that for breakfast that morning since we would have a long day ahead of us. It was just odd that we did what we had to do to receive that service and it was not fulfilled.

The stay was awesome, the parking situation is the only issue I had, it was extremely overpriced.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. I really enjoy this hotel and the staff is fantastic! A lovely hotel with plenty of walkable locations nearby.

Perfect location that’s walkable to multiple areas. The hotel employees were excellent and didn’t hesitate to help with anything that was needed. I certainly will stay here again.

Sometime around 3:50 PM on August 31, when I received a phone call to pick up my room key at the front desk at the lobby, another hotel guest demanded that my mother and I to get back in the line to check in, angrily refuse to understand that we got called to pick up the room key. His wife/girlfriend understood about us picking up the room key and tried to calm him down, but he showed refusal to listen to her and to my mother. The remark that I heard from him was that both my mother and I have "no education".

Best feature of the hotel is the location, just minutes from the harbor, a few steps from the local transit, minutes from hundreds of bars and restaurants. When it comes to the hotel, the stay itself was uneventful, which is to say that it was pretty average hotel experience. The 3rd floor outdoor patio with the swimming pool and the jacuzzi made the evenings so much better.

The lady at the front desk was a lil rude when I asked about the shuttle. Didnt like that attitude. Fix it. Wont likely be back ty no ty.
