Lovely hotel if you want quiet. We stayed in a tower room which is small ofcourse because it is in the tower, but lovely with a view of the sea.

This is a magical place. The staff and owner made us feel like family. Every detail is perfection from the design of the rooms, to the public spaces which are inviting. The park-like grounds are stunning with many little seating areas to escape to. The daily breakfast is delicious and dinner in the restaurant is first rate. It is a quiet, peaceful place and just a 10 minute walk to the beach. We would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and would stay again if we can make it back to Punta del Este.

Beautiful old hotel in an upmarket pocket near the beach. Staff are excellent and the breakfast delicious. Rooms in the tower are small but nicely appointed.

This hotel is fantastic and you can feel as if you are in your own home … The restaurant is excellent and I recommend the afternoon tea with the waffles and crepes (I enjoyed the gluten-free option)

From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. Quick and efficient check-in, friendly staff to help with our bags and valet parking. The room was luxurious, the breakfast each morning was delicious, and the Noche de Nostalgia dinner and dance was one of the most fun evenings we've had on our trip. Highly recommend this hotel if your travels take you to Punta del Este!

The rooms at the tower are like in a fairy tale, but are very small. The garden is beautiful.

Great location and amazing place

This is such a beautiful, classic hotel. Nothing canned, very authentic to Uruguay. I can't recommend it highly enough.

An absolute delight! This historical boutique hotel packs all the magic. Slow down and enjoy a merienda in the beautiful Tea Room with their famous waffles, take a walk around the meticulously kept garden filled with flora and fauna during the day or night, relax in the many comfy spots with fresh flowers and fireplace. Our room was in the tower with an ocean view, being in the tower meant the room was smaller, nonetheless, it was comfortable with a great bed and had a very deep bathroom. The tower made it an unique and unforgettable experience. You can also get larger rooms next to the garden. There is really no wrong choices here. Breakfast is served in the Tea Room. Plenty of delicious options and freshly cooked eggs any style per your request. If you are looking for a breakfast place in Punta del Este area, you might as well start the day here because it is fresh and delicious.

There is no parking, the receptionist is useless, there was no lift to my room, the safe didn’t work, the lightbulbs were only 5 watts, so you couldn’t read, the bathroom was dirty, the sanitary appliances lacked maintenance, the carpet hadn’t been washed since Uruguay gained its independence, pillows were too hard, water feature in the garden was on all night ( ?) The vacuum cleaner was parked outside our room ( was it a hint?) there was no room number on our door, ( yes I did go into the wrong room, and there was someone in there) No wifi in some common areas. Although the hotel was open throughout the lockdown it was unkempt, paint chipping off the walls etc. This was probably the most elegant hotel in Punta del Este, which is the most elegant town in Uruguay, no more. Beware trying to park in the summer season, and don’t pay more than U$D120

Good place to be, cost benefit ok, good restaurant and waffles. Conservation of facilities could be better like pool and gym. Service good.
