We had a few days in town as a couple, and really enjoyed our time at the hotel. We were met with a lovely welcome at reception. Our room was spacious, the beds were so comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were clearly very good quality. The restaurant was very nicely appointed, the wait staff very professional and friendly (thank you Sue, we really felt cared for), and, the food was delicious. The buffet breakfast was hot, flavourful, and fresh. We liked having the Nespresso in the room, and really appreciated that we could also get decaf pucks for it too. The building is filled with beautiful antiques, historic decor, and lots of comfortable nooks and crannies. We did not use the spa, as we were also visiting family, but if it is anything like the rest of the place, it will be beautiful and well run. A great place if you want something different from the usual travellers hotels. Oh, should mention, the area surrounding is very walkable, and there is a nice little village about 1k walk away (.6 of a mile). Parking is plentiful.

This is a charming boutique hotel in a historic neighborhood with old world charm and a beautifully restored dining room. The breakfasts were wonderful and staff were very friendly. We will definitely return.

The Idlewyld Inn is a lovely weekend getaway. The house has a historical appeal and is very clean. The staff are great, and the breakfast is exceptional. The only issue I found is that neither of the windows in the room properly blocked out the outside light, making it a bit difficult to sleep.

Quaint, clean property with easy parking, and cozy, wood-paneled dining room. We had dinner on the earlier side (drinks, salad, entrees all outstanding with great service to match) and took a scenic evening stroll by Thames Parkway. Ended the night with a movie on Netflix (included), and the next morning enjoyed a lovely brunch spread of fresh fruit, pastries, smoked salmon, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Did not have time to try the spa services, so can't comment there, but maybe next time. Would definitely stay here again!

The building was old and so was the rooms

lots of places to go nearby , not walking distance, short drive though. Spa was relaxing and clean

The rooms and building are nice and clean Staff was wonderful at times, but very brusk at others. We were very disappointed to have a very simple breakfast buffet as opposed to the made to order breakfast stated in our reservation.

The room was large with an exceptional separate washroom/shower area. The pillows were light and high quality. Bed was large and comfortable. The view was toward the rear yard and residences around. Lovely homes around and about which we walked through for hours. Historical plaques abound in the town of Wortley. Historical homes all around, most maintained very well. .

Dinner was exceptional

Room was incredible, big and comfy beds, very quiet. Extremely clean Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. My only issues was limited parking But we will definitely be staying here again the the summer.

Staff were friendly and great. The inn was charming. Our bedroom was average but still clean with everything you would need. The breakfast being included was a nice touch.

Everything about this place, from check in, to the room, to the breakfast, to the on site restaurant, is absolutely special. Customer service is paramount here, and we were received with such kindness and warmth that I will never forget this place. I have stayed in many places over the years, and this is by far my favorite.
