The room we had was unique in that it was a large room with nice chairs to sit in. It was very clean and close to the Boardwalk. Lots of restaurants around us and great for walking to activities on the harbourfront.

Bed and shower amazing, floors a lot squeaky! Need room darkening blinds to help with the noon checkout!

Very nice stay! It can be a bit noisy with lots of door opening and closing that can be immediately heard and felt.

Great location. Very close to numerous pubs and restaurants in the downtown area. Quaint, luxurious old-school vibe. Would certainly book here again!

The hotel has a European feel, which was great!. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. I would go back in a heart beat.

Heritage buildings with a lot of character and skylights everywhere. Comfy bed, clean environment, excellent location. Bath rooms, carpeting and furniture (vintage and in need of refinish) could use a bit of facelift, but overall the buildings are cute. It seems that every room is unique. The location is excellent - two blocks from Pier 21 and close to Dalhousie. Can be noisy if you open the windows (but who doesn't love operable windows?). Free parking in the back of the hotel was a plus.

Only missing thing that would have been useful in the room was a microwave. Otherwise everything was great.

An amazing property within a block or two from the harbourfront. Property was eclectic and old which was extractor what we were looking for. Everything about our stay was perfect!

Greeted by friendly attentive staff, great room in a historic house, comfortable bed and pillows, on site parking. Recommended!

Great location close to the boardwalk in a quiet part of downtown. Very friendly and happy staff. Excellent breakfast choices. Beautiful historic building with wonderful decks and patios.

Lovely history property but room was a little dated. The staff was excellent and very helpful

The staff were lovely and the location is great. Rooms (113) were good - clean but a bit on the tight side. Bathroom was good but desperately needed more hooks as no counter space (pedestal sink). It is a nice place but the stairs were a real pain so keep that in mind. We ended up on second floor after requesting the first floor. Staff helped with bags which was great. I wouldn’t have been able to carry up that many stairs. If you don’t mind stairs then this is a fun little place and good value.

The staff were outstanding and the hotel was comfortable.

The hotel is situated in a great location and offers a lovely quintessential historical inn feel with many modern amenities and upgrades. Appreciated the comfy mattress and upgraded shower and found the neighbourhood to be safe and quiet (a bonus for that challenging “first night in a new hotel” sleep)

Omg, you have to check out the Halliburton next time you are in Halifax! Amazing hotel, incredible vibe, amazing staff. From the minute you walk in till the moment you lay on the most amazing bed, till you relax with a glass of wine in the beautiful courtyard garden, you will experience the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Vintage style with the modern amenities, truly a great experience!
