Excellent, I left the Red Roof Inn and switch to Baymont by Wyndham Detroit Airport/Romulus and it was a total excellent experience, and I was at total peace of mind, body, and soul, however, there was only one issue which can be in a somewhat way overlooked in the bathroom ceiling look as if the room above had a water leak and caused slight damage to the ceiling. Clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom and room carpet could have been cleaner. A few lights out and bathroom fan didn’t work. Surprised that Wyndham has this property among their usually higher quality properties.

The airport shuttle was right on time. The rooms and the hotel were nice. Always, etc. were still a little outdated. For some reason. The pillows on the bed were extra small and a little difficult to use overall it was a decent experience.

Shuttle took about 15 minutes to arrive. Check-in and check-out staff were great. Room smelled and felt muggy. My 3yo found a half eaten burger in the space between the headboard and bed as soon as we arrived. Water leaked everywhere from the shower. Breakfast was mediocre.

Problem with the shuttle is that from outside the USA you cannot get in touch with the hotel to confirm details. There is wifi at the airport but no places to purchase a local SIM card. After waiting over an hour and checking with various bus drivers I eventually learnt that the shuttle bus would have the ‘Gateway’ sign on the front. Numerous hotel names on the slide of the bus but nothing to indicate it was the Baymont by Wyndham.

The front girl was not very friendly or welcoming like others I had before. THEN, it was so loud passed midnight, almost like a party next room over. Some banging was happening and pot headboard was actually moving. We called the front staff and the said they’ll take care of it BUT the noise continued until 5 am or so. Waited a while for eggs and sausages to be refilled and then the forks!!!! Cleaning was good but not the best.

The property was clean and perfectly suited for my needs, which included a quick stay and a shuttle service to my flight. ​However, I was disappointed to discover an additional $30 parking fee at check-in because I had booked through a third-party site. This fee was not disclosed on the booking confirmation. I learned that this charge is waived for guests who book directly with the hotel. ​I believe this is a significant and unexpected cost that should be clearly communicated to all guests regardless of how they book. Providing this information upfront would prevent any misunderstandings and ensure a better experience for your customers.
