We stayed two nights at the hotel and although we had booked a room for three using hotels.com, and the accomodation was fully prepaid, we were charged USD252.80 additional at check out for my son's stay and "mandatory" local charges. The age of my son had somehow been incorrectly captured by the hotel.com website (only for this booking among 5 other bookings where this did not happen) but at the time of check in we had clearly been informed we will be charged only an additional USD80 for his stay for 2 nights in addition to GBP 600+ already paid at the time of booking and the USD 76.80 to be charged locally for additional services. At check out it turned out to be a charge of USD 80 per day for my son's stay and this was not clearly communicated. This was very disappointing as we had clarified this at check in and had to pay ina rush at check out.
Coffee machine in the room did not work, we tried several times and it didn't even have the right plug for the power socket. Also no electric kettle for tea at night. For rooms priced ultimately at over GBP400 for night for two adults and a child, it felt very sloppy.
Otherwise its a historic property, with beautiful architecture and good location. Decent breakfast and the morning cappuccino was pretty good. Staff were generally polite and courteous esp at the door, restaurant and the Rumi bar. Wouldn't recommend though because if poor communication as happened with us and not very good valey for money!
