The building itself is very beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. The big downfall was the times that they closed everything. This is an adult only resort yet one of the pools I was kicked out of twice at 6 o’clock on the dot. I went the first week of July and their sushi bar was closed in the swim bar was not open either the beach access was horrible and extremely small. I don’t even think I seen anyone from the hotel on the beach. The negatives that I mentioned were some of the reasons I chose the hotel.. So that soiled the mood somewhat.

Our stay at Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen for my partner’s 60th birthday was truly memorable! The resort is gorgeous, the food was consistently delicious, and our upgraded oceanfront room gave us front-row seats to the full moon shimmering over the ocean — pure magic. We had a bump at the start with elevator issues, but the hotel manager completely turned things around. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt special and celebrated — personally checking in on us at the pool, at restaurants and shows, and throughout the resort. His kindness and attention made a lasting impression. Other than a few mosquitoes and tropical critters, the rest of our stay was relaxing, romantic, and filled with great service. We’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful adults-only getaway!

Everything was great. The food selection was good. The only downfall is the location of the water. There is not a very big beach. Basically, you had to go to the side of the hotel for a very small Beach. But other than that, everything else was wonderful.

I really liked the polite and efficient staff of the hotel. I would especially like to thank Alberto who works at the front desk. He helped us a lot.

Let’s starts with Sebastian, best bartender around. Carried a conversation with us for two days straight about Playa. Served up awesome cocktails and by far the best asset to this resort. Find him to be your bartender. Rooms were very nice beds comfy. If you have the standard room, you want to be in room 410-422 for a surprise! Wish Off the Hook was open to try but next time! Food was fantastic for what we had time for.. Mexican restaurant was decent but make sure you get to the Italian restaurant, Wow was our food amazing there! Pool was nice, but the food hideout is at the beach bar! Check it out!

Resort and room were very clean. Bartenders at Las Olas bar were great, shoutout to Sebastian. Buffet was mediocre, wish that all dining options were open at all times. Entertainment was okay.

We loved the stay at Wyndham Alltra. Not ready for our stay to end. Until next time!!!

It wasn’t what was expected y pictures on the website. Not all amenities was available. I wouldn’t go back.

We found a cockroach in our room and the elevator didn’t work 80% of time

I didn't like that only one restaurant was open each night, and it was hard to a reservation. The sushi bar was closed. The stairway and the elevator was close, that was a pain. I'm so upset with this resort. I'm never going back. I payed for all-inclusive and still had to go out to eat. I love playa Del Carmen and it's people. I'm planning on going back in November.

The bars don’t open until 11am, then shut down around midnight. The food was hardly edible. However, the staff was phenomenal.

This is a beautiful hotel! I loved the location and atmosphere. It’s close to 5th Avenue where you can shop local stores or mainstream stores. The beach is in walking distance. The food is fine but gets a little boring. The package is all inclusive so I have no complaints.

The resort was beautiful and very clean. Staff were very friendly and engaging. We loved the Mexican and Italian restaurants.

Thoroughly mid. The vegetarian food options were scarce and bland, with the exception of the Italian restaurant. The beach access isn’t like the photos and swimming was discouraged due to the red sea weed. So our beach vacation became a pool vacation. Champagne problems, but not what I was looking for in my 30th birthday trip. The staff was wonderful, unlimited ice cream was divine, and the drinks were blessedly mellow. For anyone concerned, YES you can have the ice here. They discourage you from drinking the tap water. If you need transportation from the airport, I recommend using one of the available taxi services upon arrival. Ordering ahead with the hotel is fine but not necessary. I recommend MTS— they had a cooler of cervezas ready for us. As with all things, it’s about the friends you make along the way. We had a lovely time.
