Everything you would need in a hotel room. A heritage building comes with all the creaks, bangs and rumbles that you would expect!

Contacted hotel prior to arrival to explain due to mobility difficulties I needed a ground floor room, charged extra £15 for this. Communal area to annexe very tired and in need of new carpet and paint. Room old fashioned which was fine,it was quaint, but not very clean and tiny bathroom. Lovely comfy bed. Overpriced because it is in the centre of Arundel with very little competition. Not wheelchair friendly

An old unique property which needs some maintenance but we had a lovely stay. Only issue we had was that the shower basin was overfilling and had to turn the shower off to allow the water to drain.

The hotel it’s self was very nice, well situated, the young man on reception was a bit moody I thought and not overly helpful

I loved the sitting room which had very interesting historical references. The bedroom was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. I took a drink from the Tap bar into the sitting room and relaxed after a busy day. I would definitely stay here again and will pass it on to anyone I know who wants to visit Arundel. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

The location of the Norfolk Arms in Arundel is great. Coffee shops, restaurants and the castle itself are all a short walk away. However, I can see that the rooms could get stuffy in the summer as the windows only open about 6 inches and there is noise as guests come and go from the rooms in the courtyard building.
The simple reason why I would not stay here again; the bed pillows are the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. They were hard and flat with minimal filling. I placed a sweater inside one of the pillow covers to use that night as no amount of fluffing did anything for what they provided.

Location is excellent, gated carpark small but worth the fee for me. Room was excellent (superior selected) with all facilities expected. Staff were excellent, a very professionally run place.

Clean and tidy, but dated and showing it’s he now. A baby blue bathroom sink with cracked sink (rm 15) and firm bed detracted from the overall stay.

A nice welcome at the Norfolk. The bar manager was particularly welcoming and informative. Clearly a professional who spoke to all with a positive and helpful attitude.
