Awesome place to stay

We got 5 rooms for a wedding. 2 of the rooms had to be cancelled due to excessive amount of bugs, beatles and spiders. Was offered free parking upon checking in but the manager who is absolutely incompetent gave my mother a hard time upon checking out and removed the free parking and insisted on charging us all for it stating the person didn’t have the authority to do so. I called the front desk to speak with her and she cut the call short. went down only for another worker to remove the parking fee but 3 of the rooms but couldn’t remove the parking for my mother since she was already charged for it (she left early morning we checked out late). So the manager is simply the biggest problem this hotel has and of course cleanliness.

If you're traveling to Burlington, this is the property to stay it. It is located on the shores of Lake Ontario, with a boardwalk and beach just steps from the hotel. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, transportation and activities.

The rooms had no drawers to put anything away. Have to live out of your suitcase. Not enough staff to properly clean the rooms during busy times.

Parking is the only downside.

Staff member stole my credit card information and phone number and used it to purchase a flight within Canada. This is fraud and they are employing staff that are committing it.

Beautiful location and the hotel is very clean. The only thing is I wish is Expedia had told us about the extra $25 for pets. The hotel is pet friendly but they charge extra for pets. It would have been nice to know a head of time and also they charge for parking which wasn’t listed either.

Building is due for demolition. Facility is in a poor set of repair.

Very close to the venue

We stayed there for two nights on weekend with our kid. Went to the pool and the swimming pool water temperature was so cold we couldn't even stay there for long, our kid got cold day after. Staff are not well trained and helpful rectifing any problems.

Overall great stay

The hotel is right on the water which is lovely. It’s right by a lot of shops and restaurants. The room was a nice size. The bathroom was nice with plenty of hot water. Our first room had a blocked sink so we had to be moved to another one. The breakfast was nice but there were not enough tables to sit at. In warm weather you could sit outside but it was too chilly so everyone was crammed into the foyer with plates on their knees. I’m sure they could have brought a few more tables in.

I had a great stay at the Waterfront Hotel Downtown Burlington! Great value! Would highly recommend!

Staff is absolutely fantastic

The pool was not clean it had flies and did jot look clean

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Burlington Waterfront Hotel was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. We booked this stay for a special occasion—our anniversary—and included a note in the reservation requesting something small to acknowledge it. Not only was the request completely ignored, but we were also given a room on the first floor directly in front of the lobby. No privacy, tons of noise, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a special stay. To make things worse, the fridge in the room didn’t work, which we only discovered after putting items inside. Not only was this inconvenient, but it was embarrassing given the context of our stay. We had hoped for a relaxing and memorable experience, but instead, we left feeling dismissed and disrespected. For the price and the reputation this hotel has, we expected basic hospitality and a bit of care—neither of which were delivered. I truly hope the management takes guest feedback more seriously in the future.

The morning breakfast room was closed at exactly 10am .. it would have been nice if the staff announced that they were closing - I was at the area talking to my friend and turned to get food but could not get in .. several people were there and we all missed out 😕
