Clean, convenient, friendly staff, good food, close to attractions

The hotel is old and under repair. The elevator did not work at all and the cargo elevator was under construction. We left after 1 sleepless night and moved over to the Barcelo. You get what you pay for.

The property needs updating. The elevator takes forever. The buffet is overpriced and the food is just sustenance. The bathroom had other people’s hair in it. The only thing that saved it was the location and the view to el Zocalo. We should have started elsewhere.

Clean room, staff were great, location is amazing - close to many major tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping However, be aware that outside noise is near constant and walls between rooms are far from sound proof.

Location and historic hotel can't be beat.

Everything was fine, the afternoons do get really warm and we didn’t know there was no ac in the rooms; there was a fan bit for four bodies I didn’t cool the room.

The room was good enough. Since the building is old. We went in December and at night the room gets cold. No heater available. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Not ideal for rest or comfort, but the staff and location is great!!!!

If you want to stay in the historic district, be in a walkable area, and do not mind the loud atmosphere then this is the place to stay. The hotel itself is in a very historic building. The hotel breafast was a buffet and something i would definitely skip because there are way better options outside.

We have a great time at this property, great location, room was clean, it does have on property restaurant with bar, staff was very friendly and willing to help, lost of things to do around, area is safe to walk

Staff was great, very nice place to stay with a great location.

There’s no parking onsite. The streets were closed and we had to haul our luggage from at least two blocks over. There was no hot water at around 6 pm. There was a festival going on but it was noisy and difficult to get any sleep. Towels, bedding, curtains all had stains. The bathroom floors have a center drain and everything gets wet when you shower.

Lo recomiendo al 100% I've had the opportunity to stay at this hotel twice. It has an excellent location, the staff is very friendly, and the facilities are comfortable. I recommend it 100%.

The key to the door did not work even after 3 visits to the front desk. We were on the third floor and taking the elevator was not much of an option. Our original maid was terrific (her weekly shift ended Wednesday), but her replacement was not even close to good. The last three days we returned to unswept floors and unmade beds. Otherwise the staff was wonderful!

Let’s start from the beginning…service at front desk was terrible. Was there about 2 hours prior to check in and still had to wait. Did not get to check in until 4pm. The front desk was super rude and acted like I was not even standing there in front of him. The guy with our luggage was nice and the person running the elevator too. Now to the room. The floor tiles were separating. The bathroom has a window between the next room. When you turn on the shower, the water went everywhere but in the tub or on your body. They only gave us 2 towels, nothing for the floor or even a hand towel for the sink. 1 towel was clean, the other was dingy. There is no air just a fan, so luckily we are here in December and the outside weather is nice. We just slept with the window open. The noise from the Zocolo did not even bother us. I would not stay again or recommend to others.

Couldn’t stay here a single night

Courteous staff, not enough amenities, nice view

I’m not a very picky person but my experience with this hotel was so bad I booked another one instead of staying a single night. The hotel is extremely outdated, the aesthetics are nice until you have to stay there. The hotel is over 90 years old and feels like it. The beds are hard and the one I had was so broken down it had a huge dip in it. They don’t have AC but they do provide fans. Mine was broken though so I couldn’t even use it. The room I had was facing the square and the balcony window was broken so I couldn’t close it all the way so I heard all the noise on the street. They have an old school elevator with an elevator attendant, which seems nice until you have to wait forever for the elevator. And sometimes they go on a break so you can’t use the elevator. The hotel staff seemed confused and unorganized. They couldn’t find our reservation and one of our rooms was supposed to be a double bed but we were given a single bed. They also couldn’t provide us with a different room since they were over booked. I don’t recommend this hotel or even this area if you’re visiting Mexico City for the first time. It extremely overwhelming and this hotel conditions do not help.
