Fantastic place, and an amazing value when the price dips under $300. Not quite the full 5-star service, but pretty close. A grand older building, with enormous grounds. Great food as well.

Beautiful hotel with past century charm, but modern in every way. This was an old Railroad era grand hotel. Rooms are huge with nice furniture. The staff could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent. Location is easy walking distance to pubs, stores, restaurants in downtown area. About 5 minutes drive to Killarney National Park. After having stayed 2 nights at Ashford Castle, I didn't think any other hotel could measure up. This one did.

The grounds, the hotel rooms, everything was in excellent condition. We had a wonderful staff person Salvio who greeted us with a heartfelt smile, helped us in anyway he could. We would recommend this to anyone especially if you are traveling by train It is right next door but there’s no noise from the station. This hotel is historic and very ell built

This is a great hotel with easy waking access to Killarney. The Ring of Kerry is very accessible. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are immaculate and the bar and food are very good. I highly recommend it.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beautifully appointed and well equipped with all amenities. This hotel continued to impress me. The gardens outside are stunning. My family and I commented repeatedly on how impressed we are were with the location, the staff and the hotel itself self. This place is worth the stay you will not regret it.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Walking distance to great dinner spots, coffee shops and the castle & park. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The main restaurant was fabulous and so was the bar. I would 100% go back to this hotel. Our room was beautiful and clean and the bathroom was huge. The shower was great as well, good pressure and nice rain head, and full enclosed glass shower which is hard to find in hotels these days! Parking was really convenient as well. 10/10.

The Great Southern is fabulous! The room was beautifully appointed & the facilities are great. Breakfast was plentiful & delicious. All of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Very accommodating staff

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. We stayed three nights and ate two nights in the hotel restaurant. The food was really good. The staff was really nice and fun.

Fantastic hotel, worth the price!

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this hotel was absolutely spectacular. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained. Easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at—I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone.

Great staff

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the rooms were so clean and cozy. The furnishings were beautiful and the shower was excellent with white company bath products. The reception were very helpful when we forgot our phone charger! Only small complaint was some loud noise late at night but I think there was a wedding on. Breakfast buffet was also 10/10, everything was so fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here!
