Stayed here because of the 8.0 hotels.com rating, price and location. I think the 8.0 rating is a holdover from better days. The fitted sheet had a gray spotted area that looked like old mildew. There was a bundled power cord and piece of equipment plugged into a hall power outlet and laying about halfway across the hall to our room. One of the emergency light fixtures in the hall was buzzing. There was water on the floor in the exercise room. There was water on the floor in the first floor hallway with a sign warning about wet floor. The toilet in our room had a ring and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Tile was coming away from the wall several places around the floor of the bathroom. There was stuff on the floor that made it look like the room hadn't been vacuumed before we arrive. The next morning there was a sticky wet area at one of the exits to the parking lot. The dryer didn't work but at least it had an out of order sign. The first floor ice maker didn't work and didn't have a sign. I heard a guest telling another guest the ice maker on the third floor worked. When I was walking the hallways looking for ice I saw at least 6 doors propped open with the security latch and two doors with the handles remove and one with the handle in place and the lock cylinder removed.

Customer service was great. Breakfast was horrible- almost everything was from the freezer. Fruit was not fresh. Laundry facility was down. Jacuzzi was out of order.

Room #1: We were unpacked, set-up & ready for bed. TV didn’t work. Waited for guy to come fix it. I discovered the door to our room didn’t lock. I told the guy that when I was waiting for him to get to me, I had tried the doors on that floor & many opened just by me using the door handle. Room #2: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. Unpacked. The door didn’t lock. Room #3: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. Unpacked. The door didn’t lock. Room #4: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. This time I checked the door instead of trusting them. The door didn’t lock. They moved us over to Fairfield Marriott. All was good there. This process took from 8:15 pm to around 10:00 pm. I came to Memphis for my rheumatology apt. I was in so much pain! Never even once did they ask if we wanted help or push the cart! When they moved us across the parking lot, I refused to move the cart. After a few minutes of staring at each other, the lady finally pushed the cart to Fairfield. I asked for my room to be comped. She said that was up to the main manager. I asked for a way to contact the corp manager. I was told that she couldn’t give out that info, but she would let them know. This morning I spoke to a different manager there. She said that she heard what happened. She gave me the corp managers phone# & email. I will be contacting them in the next couple of days, but really, they should be contacting me.

This property was horrible. Would not recommend. Arrived and computers were down and was sent across the street to the Fairfield Inn and was charged again for the run (finally got the charge reversed). Room was very hot and uncomfortable and staff was rude at both properties.

Could not understand the accent of the clerk. Room had smoke smell, so had to change room. Housekeeping didn’t even come into my room (2-night stay). Room key didn’t work when I came back at the end of the day.

Overall I wasn’t happy with my stay at Springhill Suites. Dryer broke down, 3 red spots on carpet in the room, shower rod coming out the wall, tub stopper broken off to the side & the phone in my room never worked so if something happen I couldn’t call the front desk. Male at the front desk when I checked I told him I didn’t want any room service, but they came in my room when I wasn’t there. None of the room had DO NOT DISTURB door tags. On July 10th around 9:45pm a stranger unlocks my door & came straight into my room I was so scared after a screamed they said sorry they was in wrong room. I was scared for my life. I go down to the front desk told the employee Priya that program my room to someone else and all she said was she was sorry. That is unacceptable, so on Saturday I told weekend front desk employee BJ (which is a very good employee) what happened. BJ informed me the manager would be Monday and I should talk to her. I thanked him and I called Hotel.com to complain and to be Compensated for my room. Then on Sunday I told BJ that I didn’t want any room service he wrote it down & said no one will go in your room. When we came back and went to my room I noticed that trashed was empty & I had new towels. Now I’m pissed went to the front tell BJ housekeeping came in my room. He’s upset called for the housekeeping supervisor that doesn’t speak English had to use an app to translate what was said. She said no one came in the room. A mess, I just want to be Compensated!

At check in i was told the pool was closed and when i said that was the whole reason i was staying was for the pool so she said let her check on something and came back and said the pool was open but the hot tub was closed which was obvious by the tarp over it. I should have walked out right then but didnt. The pool was SO GROSS!!! Then the full length mirror behind the bathroom door was filthy with kids handprints and then in the middle of the night i was going move to the other bed and i pulled back the blanket and there was a sock in the bed needless to say i scooted my grandson over and laid back down with him.
