The property was under construction. The pool area was under construction. We did not get a room upgrade. We didn’t have hot water in the shower and we left a day early.

Staff was very helpful, property was clean

Check ib was terrible sent us to an allready occopied room and the plastic entry card to the new room would not wor. The fire alarm sounded fo 10 m at 7 AM

Great property. The Signature restaurant is excellent. The golf is great. One problem - the parking. They now charge about $28/day for self-parking. That's on top of the room rate and the "Resort Fee". I can't stand that game - just a way to try and hide what they are really charging. Just tell me what you are charging for your room and include everything. Don't try to fool me by quoting one price and then charging another. To make matters worse, the parking system works poorly. I was initially charged an hourly fee, rather than a daily fee. The hourly fee would be about $230 dollars a day. While the front desk fixed the improper charge, it took about 20 minutes (with me standing at the front desk) for them to do so. I don't go on vacation to spend that amount of time for something I don't think they should charge for in the first place. Someone should rethink this new, in my view bogus, charge. Again, put it all in the room charge so that I know what I'm spending.

7th floor hospitality suite and concierge service.

The mattresses could use an upgrade. My husband and I experienced significant body aches, joint & back pain due to mattress quality.

Absolutely love this place. Every single staff person was friendly and helpful. Especially loved the fact that we didn't have to leave the premises for food or entertainment.

Disappointing Experience During stay, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at this resort. I booked a deluxe king room with a city view, paying $1,200 for two nights, with the expectation of a luxurious and memorable experience for my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, our experience has been anything but that. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with two full-size beds and a view of the courtyard instead of the city. To make matters worse, the windows were dirty, further diminishing what little view we had. This was not the experience we were promised, nor one that I would expect from a resort of your reputation. If I had been informed that the room I booked was unavailable due to being “out of order,” I would have seriously reconsidered my stay. While I appreciate the offer to move to a different room when one becomes available, the inconvenience has already impacted our experience. After making special plans and investing in this stay, I expected better communication and service. I feel that we have been treated poorly, and this is certainly not the level of hospitality I anticipated. I would like to request appropriate compensation for the significant inconvenience we’ve experienced. I sincerely hope you will take this feedback seriously and make efforts to improve your communication and guest .

The hotel and spa are so beautiful and peaceful. The whole staff was wonderful, kind, and so helpful! The food, service, and stay were all excellent. I am so grateful for the special time with my family after a much needed getaway after the death of a loved one. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special!

Beautiful property, well staffed, didn’t feel over crowded. The walls were noticeably thin and we could hear entire conversations next door. Otherwise a great stay.

It was under renovation elevators were nasty and marked up in my room. The TV was crooked and also a lot of the light fixtures were crooked as well. It looked like it's been under a lot of renovation and it looked 25 years old

Spa & Golf

I had not been back to the Westin La Cantera in years. Wow! How it’s transformed for the better on all levels. Check in was seamless, very friendly staff. The rooms have been updated and are extremely comfortable and clean. Room service is exceptional! We’ll be back!!! Thank you!

This was my 3rd time at the resort and my wife's 4th time visiting the property. I decided to upgrade us to the (,seven) area of the hotel. February is a busy month, our anniversary, my wife's birthday,and Valentine's Day. I wanted us to have a special weekend. That all changed when we exited the 7th floor and the elevator doors opened up we were bombarded with construction going on. The first step out of the elevator was onto a dirty construction floor covering. Only to hear the sounds of hammering, drilling, and sanding. When we got to our room the temperature was 66° I immediately turned on the heat and set it to 76°. My wife asked for 2 blankets from the front desk. Also to my surprise our room was missing a refrigerator. We went to dinner. We came back a little after 10:00 p.m. which was more than enough time for the room to warm up. To my surprise it was only 71°. I played with the thermostat and realized what was wrong and went downstairs and informed the front desk. Tired and a bit chilly we just went to sleep. We checked in on Thursday. Notified them about the thermostat the same day. Didn't get the blankets until after we got back that night from dinner after 10:00 p.m. Friday morning I was abruptly woken up out of my sleep by the fire alarm. The construction guys hit a water line and no hot water for a shower. Saturday morning I was woken up by the sound of jackhammering at 7:30am. Mya,Lauren, and Matt saved the day by resolving the problems.They saved the day!
