Good choice of buffet breakfast, staff friendly. Room clean and adequate for our needs. Good central location.

Very well liocated from station and for locsl bars and shops. Spacious beautiful entrance on arrival. Parking just outside back of hotel , however a charge of £8 for psrking there. Very small bathroom with not much roon for own toiletries. Clean comfortable bed. Good breakfast which was included in our price. Our friends were asked if they would like an upgrade for £14. Which they accepted. However, they couldnt see very much difference from original room . Overall, a liovely hotel, very good location and would stay again.

The room I stayed in for the two nights I was there was lovely and clean the staff were alright aswell no complaints from me next time I visit Carlisle ill stay there again.

In need of re vamp Full modernisation required

Conveniently located opposite the railway station, I thought this was a decent budget hotel. It was an old building but the room was clean and spacious and pretty quiet (I did stay on a Wednesday night). Some cosmetic issues (like a crack in the sink basin) so the place could probably do with a lick of paint and some modernisation but other than that I thought it was absolutely fine for an overnight stay. However there appeared to be no lifts so not a good idea to stay here if you have mobility issues.

The staff and the management strive hard to provide an excellent service for all the guests. We have been to this hotel many times before and we were happy to return. Very centrally placed placed establishment, the main line train station is very closeby.

A very dated hotel in desperate need of modernisation. No AC, a 1960’s lift that doesn’t work, couldn’t get a second key for the room, the room itself was unbearably hot. I will definitely not be back. Dreadful.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and were able to give us a room on the first floor with no uneven floors or steps. However the room had a large wet brown stain by the wardrobe, the bathroom had no toilet paper holder, just the raw plugs and the towel rail was hanging off the wall. When we came to have a shower the shower head kept rotating and the shower curtain just stuck to your body. The bath panel was away from the bath and the enamel was chipped. I told the staff about the wet carpet as I didn't want to be accused of damaging the room. I did not insist on a different room as we were only staying for one night but not was I offered one. I would not stay again unfortunately.

My room a superior double was excellent. Clean and tidy near to lift. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Hotel near to railway station and shops.

This is a budget hotel but tries very hard to give a good service. It's upfront about the potential night noise though we had non. There is an £8 parking fee but again they do tell you upfront. The breakfast is ok but the coffee from the machine very disappointing. Overall you gets what you pay for.

Woman on reception was very friendly and extremely helpful. Superior room was a good size. For a mid week stay at the price i couldn't fault it.

Poor run down hotel. Bits falling off walls, light not working, shower poor, cramped room. Will not stay here again!
