This hotel is very dated which I understand as being one of the originals downtown. I had booked a two double bed room, when we arrived we were on the main floor which at first I thought was great until we realized there was only one window high up near the ceiling looking at a wall. This made you feel like you are in a basement. I guess you get what you pay for..overall it was ok..didnt spend a lot of time in the room anyway.. Based on that room experience I would not go back You had to park a block and a half away in a city lot and they gave you vouchers to pay your way out..very inconvenient

My wife and I were traveling from Toronto to Nova Scotia and started with a short drive to Peterborough. I booked ahead and there are modern opportunities in Peterborough but generally I am attracted to older, traditional hotels, which includes the risk that it is going to be a disappointing experience. But it was the prefect choice! We liked the more traditional, classic atmosphere in this hotel. This includes the location in a row of buidings in a common main street down town. Parking is allowed for (un)loading before free parking in a garage close by. Very well organised! We loved the lobby. The room was simple but nice, the bed was good. Breakfast was included, not fancy but good. Keep in mind that prices are very reasonable, so all together I find you get a lot of value for your money. If my comments appeal to you, don't hesitate and book this hotel for your stay in Peterborough.

An older hotel right in downtown Peterborough that is comfortable and clean. I really enjoyed my stay.

Hotel is clean but feels old in the end, the beds are super comfy and soft, everything in the room worked fine and our stay was good for the time we actually spent there. Right in the center of everything. The only couple things is morning staff we had to ask twice for clean towels and it's been long time I don't have to worry about a deposit at check-in.. that was unexpected.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The furniture was worn and scarred but serviceable. The property is located downtown, making it convenient but also in an area where it felt unsafe to be out alone after dark. I felt the price was very reasonable for what I received.

Staff was very friendly, and helpful. The room was great. Will stay here again if I ever need a hotel in Peterborough again.

This hotel is outdated in the best possible way— it feels like going to a rich relative's house in the 90s. Ornate and stylish, lots of character to the place. Tub also had jets, which was a great surprise. Room had a fireplace, but it was summer so they had the gas turned off. Water cooler in the lobby (very hot weather when we stayed, so this saved us), they pay for your parking in the King Street garage, room had a small window A/C unit but it got the job done very well. Great stay for Musicfest

Hotel is very well located in downtown Peterborough. Staff are helpful and room amenities more than adequate.

This hotel was very unique. Front desk staff were very helpful. Bed very comfortable. 5☆ for sure. Centrally located to all Amenities. Our room was large, spacious without the cookie cutter layout. Definitely stay here again.
