It was perfect. The pool was nice after a hike on the trail. The rooms were really clean. The Great room was inviting. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Hotel decor made you feel like your in the wild west. Very walkable town and very close to West Entrance of Yellowstone.

The hotel is very nice, but the room we were in was small enough that it was difficult to find a place to have two large suitcases open and accessible. Otherwise, it was fine.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the lobby area was very welcoming in the hunting lodge kind of way. Being in West Yellowstone, and the exorbitant prices of lodging in a tourist location, the property is priced accordingly however, the price for the overall condition and amenities is far from where one would expect anywhere else. The bed and pillows were not overly comfortable, the interior of the room is very dated, the shower head did not work well and made a very loud sound. Breakfast was average.

Loved the location but the property was a bit dated. They need to open the bar at night with music. The rooms are small and a bit dated.

Beautiful staircase and open plan reception area with nice fireplace and seating. Rooms were a little small and bathrooms very small. Not too much space available for unpacking clothes. Bar was closed and has been closed for last 13 years due to lack of liquor license. Nice pool. Felt it was overpriced.

Fabulous location to park, dining, and shopping. Rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean. Staff was friendly. It's an older hotel with wooden floors that squeek softly. I'd definitely stay there again.

This is an old Inn which was the first “upscale hotel” in West Yellowstone, circa 1940. Has lots to recommend it—the lobby area—which must’ve been recently refurbished—with fireplace, balcony staircase and massive taxidermy animals is impressive, and a very nice place to sit with a beer or carry out meal. (We did both.) There is also a nice small gym and an indoor pool, which we didn’t use. Our room left something to be desired—very clean, but only two small scatter rugs on the floor, tacky formica desk and dresser and a bed platform that was made out of some sort of thin metal that was very noisy. The heat/AC unit was on all the time, or not at all—thermostat seemed to be malfunctioning. Bathroom tiny and fan was on all the time, even when light was shut off, so they “fixed” it to not run. Breakfast was meh—same as all the other middle-priced places that offer breakfast. All in all, the charming lobby and the convenience to the west Yellowstone park entrance made it well worth the stay, even with the mediocre room.

While the property is conveniently located and has a charming front lobby area, the positives begin and end there. This is an old hotel and therefore functions like one: the sauna does not get hot, the gym facility is lacking equipment and proper sanitation products, the rooms are cramped and noisy, you can hear your neighbors very distinctly and early risers will certainly wake you up, and the beds and the pillows are fairly uncomfortable. I would highly recommend management update their facility, considering what they are charging for this place.
