Upon late night arrival, front desk was grumpy and not helpful. We were not notified of $15/day credit for cafe, so how were we supposed to use it. Seems shady. No work area for printing or scan documents. There was an email provided for this, yet front desk was never able to print the documents. We were sent to neighboring Marriott, who also could not help us. That should be a standard amenity for this type of hotel. Hotel was clean, daytime desk staff was kind and helpful, and location was good

We’ve stayed at the Notary twice and both stays were outstanding. The property and staff were first rate. When we return to Philly we will absolutely stay at The Notary

The room was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Close to Reading Terminal Market & across from the beautiful City Hall. Perfect location!

Bathroom door and shower door were broken. Troublemaker guests repeatedly banged on our door in fun, disrupting our rest. Security could not control the situation. Coffee and Avocado toast was awful and expensive. The front desk and service was very poor. We paid a lot of money for our room. What a rip off!

The rooms were nice and well decorated, only detriment was the lack of a door to separate the toilet from the wash basin. The worst thing was the valet parking. The staff was great and helpful but once I had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours and it made us miss the performances at the clef jazz club.

It is an absolutely lovely hotel in a great location if you want to be downtown. Great coffee available at their cafe as well.

I liked the art work, the room was comfortable, the furnishings were unique and the location was perfect. We never went to the restaurant but looked at the menu and we were not impressed. With the Terminal Reading Market so close with such incredible food choices you have to do better. The staff were OK.

Can’t beat the location! We had a city view of the City Hall building which is one of the most stunning buildings I have ever seen. About 1 mile walk to liberty bell and independence hall. Reading Terminal is around the block and two miles to the Museum of Art. All and all loved the location, the room, the restaurant and the bar. The resort fee with meal credit is confusing so keep track of your receipts. I’m still not convinced the meals were credited correctly.

This is a gorgeous hotel right next to city hall, which is beautiful. A lot of historical sites within walking distance. And, the restaurants around were excellent.

I so wish I'd gotten the name of the lady who checked me in at the Elite desk here at the Notary on the 7th of March, but she was outstanding. Not only was she personable and professional, but I asked her for a recommendation to a local restaurant for dinner, and I had an incredible dinner at El Vez thanks to her. My check in was great, my room lovely, clean, and spacious, and the hotel's art deco vibe is just my style. I'm so glad I chose to stay at this hotel over the academic conference location just down the street.

restaurant needs ALOT of work. Very poor for a Marriott. Next time we will stay at the Warwick. Excellent restaurant.
