We were looking for an overnight relaxing stay and this hotel was exactly what we needed.
Everything you want for a relaxing time is provided for .
Our room was a good size, quiet and very comfortable.
The hotel is steeped in history, and the building is incredibly quirky dating back to the 15th century. Many historical figures have stayed here, including Horatio Nelson! We would like to single out in particular a member of staff called Horace, whose hospitality went above and beyond at all times and made the whole experience even more marvellous.
We enjoyed a delightful three course meal in the evening and found that the menu was very appealing and the restaurant had a lovely ambience to it.
The morning after our stay we were booked in for a massage in the spa which was also great. The amenities are brilliant and we would very much recommend this to anyone else wanting a relaxing weekend away.
