Lovely stay after attending a family wedding! Spent the Sunday relaxing in the spa. Hotel was really interesting with it’s history.

Lovely stay. Food was lovely and service good. Only disappointment was bill having service charge applied for drinks from bar and a drink not requested by us. Staff were friendly.

Absolutely charming. Staff couldn’t do enough for us.

Limited gym access. Asked spa staff for access and told gym was closed until next morning 8 :00 AM?

Lovely hotel, with great parking, walkable to shops, pubs and sightseeing. Excellent staff, incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. Barman was very patient with our group who wanted a night cap after our friends got married. Thank you!

Superb. As gold members upgraded to Queens Suite where Queen Elizabeth 1st stayed. Excellent. Sarah Stacey, General Manager and her fabulous team made our whole stay very memorable, Facilities in hotel all great. Location excellent. Hope to return.

Lovely old fashioned ‘proper’ English hotel. Very friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere- just as it says on the website.

Charming country hotel. Lots of original features, decorated to suit age of property. Very clean and spacious room, full of antiques and character, very quirky. Restaurant food and service excellent. Spa treatment amazing. A place to indulge and relax. The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout our stay.

Hotel is fine. Decor different. Spa small but ok. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very dissapoonting. Buffet very poor. Ordered eggs on toast which took 30 minutes to arrive and wasn’t worth the wait!

Characterful, old-style property with good facilities including very nice Spa and pool. Stayed here for three nights. Disappointed with allocated room which was in an upper corner of the main block with low ceilings and very little room to move- no walk-in shower, only a bath with no room to stand up. Spoke to reception staff who were great and organised a room change and upgrade. In fact staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout. Very nice cooked-to-order breakfast and great dinner. Lovely drinks on the terrace in the afternoons. Can highly recommend a stay here.

We were looking for an overnight relaxing stay and this hotel was exactly what we needed. Everything you want for a relaxing time is provided for . Our room was a good size, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel is steeped in history, and the building is incredibly quirky dating back to the 15th century. Many historical figures have stayed here, including Horatio Nelson! We would like to single out in particular a member of staff called Horace, whose hospitality went above and beyond at all times and made the whole experience even more marvellous. We enjoyed a delightful three course meal in the evening and found that the menu was very appealing and the restaurant had a lovely ambience to it. The morning after our stay we were booked in for a massage in the spa which was also great. The amenities are brilliant and we would very much recommend this to anyone else wanting a relaxing weekend away.

The whole place was beautiful, the food was very tasty. Yhe staff were extremley acoomadating, kind and helpful. The SPA was lovely only thing was that the jacuzzi was not working.

The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa is absolutely beautiful, certainly a place I will recommend to others and what a beautiful County West Sussex is.

The historicity of the hotel and our room was awe inspiring. The staff was incredibly accomodating and attentive. We so enjoyed Sarah, the manager . A truly memorable experience.

Everything was fine but perhaps not as nice as expected.
