I am writing to express my disappointment with our recent stay. Despite the hotel being busy, the level of service and facility maintenance fell well short of expectations. Key issues included: Breakfast & Coffee: Buffet refills were extremely slow, juices were watered down, and the breakfast coffee was poor. The on-site Starbucks running out of basic items like oat milk forced us to go elsewhere for coffee. Room Conditions & Maintenance: The exhaust fans were broken in all three of our bathrooms, leaving the rooms smelling unpleasant. One room lacked a fan entirely, forcing us to leave windows open overnight, which kept the kids awake. Housekeeping: Basic amenities were never refilled in our rooms, bins in common areas were overflowing, and we were told to fetch our own extra supplies from reception. Returning to hot, unventilated rooms and dealing with poor service ruined what should have been an enjoyable stay.

The food was good variety, fresh and sufficient. Cutlery was clean and the team efficiently kept the restaurant all clean without making it look like krs

My main reason for going to this hotel was it advertised dry ski slopes for beginners and offered ski vouchers there was a sort of slope but no skiing only rings for going down it. I asked several members of staff about dry slopes and they didn't have a clue not really helpful. I did report the ceiling in our room was covered with cob webs not ideal. The rules of the swimming pool annoyed me my granddaughter who is 14 and an excellent swimmer had to be accompanied by an adult far enough but the adult had to be in the pool at all times not always possible why they dont have lifeguards is beyond me. Younger members of staff could be doing with training. However most staff friendly especially bar staff where we ate and the food was lovely. Breakfast was also nice.

The room wasn't well maintained because walls were extremely dirty. Even the washroom had some issues. Only the exterior of this hotel looks fascinating, the room wasn't appealing at all.

Amazing place with fun activities for the kiddos. Staff were super helpful. Playground, pool and rock climbing were all great.

This is a family orientated hotel. Think ‘Centre Parcs’ levels of activities without the insane prices. Location is amazing. Check in queue was 30 deep when I arrived and after 40 minutes of being stood in it and at the front it was still 30 deep behind me. We missed the swimming pool session in the evening because of the wait which was poor. Speaking to other people in the queue (some repeat customers) it is like this every time they attend. 👎 room was well appointed but shabby and grubby. Shower head missing. Only shower wand left to use. Stains on carpet and curtains. Dodgey ‘residue’ on toilet cistern. The money in this place has gone on activities (mostly aimed at younger kids) my 11 and 14 year old were too old for the soft play (takes up a whole building on hotel site) and did take an interest in the ‘lifesize’ animatronic dinosaurs for about 2 and 1/2 minutes. The ‘woodshed’ pizza and nachos treehouse on site is worth a visit. The main bar does decent drinks and staff are nice. For nearly £200 per night for a stay here, they need to do better really.

The site is ideal for families with younger children. We were nervous after reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. We checked in online before hand, so it meant we were able to use the dedicated 'online check-in' line at the front desk (I could see that others were having a longer wait, especially when groups came in by coach) Our interactions with staff were universally positive, with service staff in the main hotel area very friendly and helpful. The Activity Centre area staff were also friendly. The pool area and changing rooms were clean and tidy. We really liked that there were two separate pools, as the shallower/warmer pool was ideal for our less-confident swimmers. The pool slide was out of service, so we hope to try it on a future visit. Food was ok, but there weren't a huge number of vegan/vegetarian options, which was tricky for our family. It was disappointing that there were no vegetarian kids items at the kids activity zone cafe, but we were told that they are getting a new menu in the coming weeks, so that may change! If you are unable to easily carry your own bags up stairs, please keep in mind when booking that there are no lifts to the upper floors. You should ask for a lower floor, or confirm with the hotel about what assistance might be available. My husband ended up helping a group of older persons with large suitcases up the stairs to their floor, as they were well enough to walk up the stairs but not strong enough to carry their cases.

Had a good stay. Parking was good. Checked in at 3pm and was in my room within 10 minutes. Bar was good. I didn’t eat in the hotel. Couldn’t get the shower to work. Room was fine (in the main hotel). I would go back.

Reception area & bar area were lovely. Bar staff were excellent as was the bar food. We were VERY disappointed in our room in the Annexe. It was extremely small with little space to move between the beds. The Annexe itself was more like a hostel! We couldn’t believe that the room would not be serviced during our stay! The corridor leading to the Annexe was not cleaned for several days. The swimming pool was beautiful & the staff guy on reception was very nice. Our Grandson was very disappointed that the football park was not opened & in a state of disrepair. It was also disappointing that food stopped being served at the Funhouse at 4.30pm & the activities closed at 5 pm at Woodhouse. All in all, especially the room, we feel that we are due some reimbursement for our stay. In anticipation!

Apart from the one hour standing to register and the poor woman at the vheck in desk faced with a line of around thirty waiting did very well under the circumstances. We went for the buffet dinner which was well organised but the food was not very appetising .I had the Aberdeen Angus beef which was mostly fat and had to throw back as i was unable to cut it .The plates were snatched from you before you were hardly finished .But apart from the food no complaints .I would go again but not go near the buffet dinner.

The double cosy room is extremely small for 2 people and a dog and very tight space in the corridors when cleaning staff and trollies are out. Dog friendly but no water bowls anywhere around the hotel. Can’t believe Reception had a notice saying Back in 10 minutes when they claim service 24/7
