Beautiful property and spectacular garden setting. Friendly, efficient staff. Very quiet - an amazing, relaxing stay.

Great location

We didn’t like having to leave the property to go on to our next destination. The property was beautiful in many areas - the buildings, the rooms, the grounds, the staff, the peacefulness, the ambiance - actually everything was just perfect as far as we were concerned.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in many years. Our first - but not last - visit to a delightful, peaceful, beautiful and friendly high quality hotel that deserves 5 stars. Service was immaculate and charming. A wonderful home from home.

Pictures simply don't do this place justice, such a stunning hotel with an invredible restaurant/bar and some lovely grounds with plenty of roses, cheese plants, and more. Breakfast is amazing and the team is very attentive. Would love to come back

Stayed for a few days at the end of a trip to SA. Staff are great but hotel is run down. You can see at some point this was a great hotel but now the rooms and bathrooms need a refurb. The restaurant is very pretty and the food is fine - not the best and wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for a meal out but for a hotel dinner is fine. We were not able to have a late check out which was disappointing.

My partner and I agree that our stay at Cellars Hohenort will continue to be one of our most memorable hotel experiences. The hotel, grounds, facilities and service are impeccable. We were made to feel like family in a home far away from home. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. We gave ourselves a week to mull over our experience before offering our review. Time did not alter our impression. Cellars Hohenort can be described as a glimpse of heaven on earth.

Super friendly staff, beautiful location with every amenity you could wish for. Easy distance from Capetown center (20 min), winelands and beach.

The assignment of my room was questionable. I booked a Luxury room, not the Double room to make sure I was not in the attic rooms with the reduced head clearance. At check-in, the hotel staff assured me that the attic room I was assigned was the Luxury room. When I pointed out the identical rooms on their website and the Hotels.com website identifying the attic rooms as doubles, they informed me that I would have needed to book the room directly to assure I was in the high-ceiling clearance rooms on the lower floors. Overall the hotel property was very nice and we had both Lunch and Dinner on site and enjoyed the experience. The room assignment really irritated me to watch the low ceiling during my stay, and the way the reception handled the issue was dismissive. This was ow season stay and I expect that if they tried to make the situation right, they certainly could have. I feel like I paid for a higher-rate room and was "brushed off" when I tried to address the concern.

Very nice hotel in the wine country. Fantastic views and the best staff I’ve run into in all my travels. No question when we get back to Cape Town (and we will) this will be our home away from home!!!
