This is a beautiful property that unfortunately is deteriorating significantly and it shows. It needs lots of care.

Very large hotel that is no longer in it's prime, but nonetheless very stately. Love taking the water taxi across the narrow channel to the cute & very safe village of Barra Navidad, where there are good dining options and markets. There is also a huge golf course that belongs to the hotel, and though I am not a Golfer, it has an excellent reputation and is never busy.

Great place to stay. Take boat across to Barra de Navidad to check out local scene. Great pool, gym and bar at hotel. Service exceptional. We were there during Easter week but not crowded at all. Great value for your money being all inclusive. Highly recommend.

I don't normally review but my wife and kids were extremely pleased with this property. I would recommend buying the all inclusive (the restaurant and food and beverage service is amazing) as the city nearby requires a water taxi ride.

Food is excellent! Staff is courteous, Korina at the front desk was beyond helpful. A little outdated, but beautiful property. Hidden from town.

This property is outdated, however, in a very secluded area that we enjoyed. find, can be confusing to fine, but once you are here, it is absolutely beautiful. This location on Expedia says it is in Manzanillo, it is NOT. It is in Collimia . It is 45 minutes to an hour away from Manzanillo.

As stated by other reviews the property is dated, but I can assure you the friendliness of the staff and beauty of the area make up for any shortfalls. Our room was enormous and the location was quiet with a wonderful view. The breakfast every morning was wonderful with many choices, and the service was impeccable. We chose to eat lunch and dinner in town nightly and the water taxi across the lagoon was cheap and easy $2.50 US round trip. All in all this spot away fr

We had the most incredible 9 days at the Grand hotel! It was super quiet, which we like, and the staff were always eager to please. The food was unbelievable, both the buffet and the al carte options. I would give 10 stars if i could! I enjoyed yoga every morning on the beach, and our kids loved the lazy river/water slide! We enjoyed the ease of taking water taxi into town, as well as all the neat areas to explore by the resort (kayaking the lagoon, La Cruz for sunsets, secret beach, walking along the marina and into little village). The resort grounds are stunning as well as the building itself, it truly is Grand! The rooms do require a little maintenance *unfortunately our shower leaked all over our room at times, the toilet had a few issues and the beds weren't the best and a lil small for our family of 4, but it didnt hinder for the exquisite experience we had! We can't wait to come back!

Have been staying here for past 15 years whenever I come to Mexico. Such a lovely spot. The staff is wonderful, kind and attentive. The grounds are beautiful. The Hotel itself is definitely due for some upgrades (painting, furniture and carpentry, magnetics on door cards) but I don’t really care. After all, who stays in their room much of the time when in Mexico anyway? I love this place..

I have stayed at Grand Bay Isla Navidad many times now, I lived in Barra de Navidad for 14 years, right across the Lagoon. Hotel Grand Bay is old now, she's still elegant, but it's kind of a faded elegance, she still has grace but just like me she's aging. The menu for The Terraca, the pool area and room service is dated and extremely focused I believe on maybe American tourism? It's boring! One can't even order camarones or fish. However, there are plenty of restaurants where one can order camerones and fresh fish just across the channel in Barra. The pool was lovely as always, the service excellent. Kudos to Sergio the bartender in the lounge...ask him to show you the photos of the phantasmas. Grand Bay will continue to be my go to hotel when visiting the Costalegre. Also someone needs to tell the girls on the front desk that the parking lot is not muy lejos. It is really close to the entrance of the hotel. Less distance than an average city block.
