Our stay at this magnificent Lisbon hotel perfectly combines old world charm with seamless modern convenience. Finding a city center hotel that checks all the boxes is rare, but this property exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Situated at the end of the Av. Da Liberdade, it was incredibly easy to step outside and explore many of the sprawling city’s main sights. A massive bonus for a city center property was the stress free, included parking, making day trips with a car a seamless experience. The hotel is visually spectacular, featuring antique furniture and classic architectural details that feel grand yet welcoming. Our room was surprisingly large, featuring a distinct, separate living area that gave plenty of space to spread out and relax in comfort (or separate ourselves from the kids if we had brought them along). The staff was exceptionally warm and attentive, always ready to support any request or provide a recommendation. Mornings began with a fantastic, included breakfast spread in a beautiful dining area. Evenings offered live music in the bar to unwind after a day of sightseeing. This is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a classic, luxurious experience without sacrificing practical amenities.

Room was nice and cold. Staff were great and the location was excellent. Short walk opposite from the beach to cool local neighborhoods while still being close enough to the tourist attractions. Having the train station attached to the hotel was perfect for getting to and from Sintra. Highly recommended.

I would like to start this review with the fact that this is one of the most exquisite hotels we've ever stayed in as world travelers. We have concluded that every time we visit Lisbon, which is at least once a year, we will stay at this particular property. The only complaint would be the stiffness of the bed, but the staff was very accommodating in providing a down comforter to soften the bed. I am not sure if that's every room, but even still with that, it would not hinder my stay there ever again. The breakfast is unmatched. That breakfast room is just so immaculate and exquisite and the view over the city is just wonderful. The service and the kindness is second to none,

An old building full of character this is certainly an interesting place to stay. The furniture in the rooms could certainly do with an update but the hotel is very well placed for exploring Lisbon and the buffet breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I was really excited to stay here but as soon as I entered the lobby, I knew I had made a mistake.it’s a beautiful hotel in the perfect location but everything is totally worn out. The bed was hard as a rock even after they added a mattress topper and the bedding is very stiff. The staff tries hard with fruit, cheese and wine but nothing is worth not being able to get a good night’s sleep. There are some much better hotels just down the street for the same price. Great hotel in a central location. We stayed in a room that faced the street and never had an issue with noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of options with sweet and savvy and hot and cold items, including a variety of beverage options. Location was very walkable, felt safe day and night and centrally located to so many restaurants. We would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture and elegant interiors. I spent quite a bit of time walking around the hotel taking photos because it felt more like a museum than a hotel. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from every morning. The only issue we encountered was a strong sewage smell in our first room. We informed the staff, and they immediately moved us to another room, where there was no such problem. We really appreciated how quickly and professionally they handled the situation. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The Hotel Avenida Palace exceeded our expectations! It was an absolutely wonderful place and experience. The location was perfect in the center of Lisbon for walking to restaurants and amazing sights. It truly is decorated like a palace with historic furniture and decor. Simply gorgeous. The daily breakfast was a luxurious feast with perfect service and hospitality. We wish we could go back! We highly recommend the Hotel Avenida Palace.

This was a family vaction and we rented two rooms for 4 days. You will need an instruction manual to use shower. Carpet is old and you can see stains all overs. The hotel is certainly not what you see in the pictures. Our daughter checked out at noon. Since her flight is at 6PM she is sitting in the lobby doing some work on the computer. The Hotel staff told her to leave the hotel since she does not have a room anymore. I will not stay there anymore or recommend this hotel.

Avenida Palace has become our home away from home. This was our fourth stay, and once again, we loved every moment of it. The hotel is simply dreamy — cohesive, charming, and beautifully styled throughout. Every corner feels special, and we enjoyed every minute of being there. The staff are exceptional. They’re kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They know you’re visiting from out of town, and they go out of their way to share their city, their food, and their culture with you. Meeting such wonderful people is part of what makes this place unforgettable. Every year, Avenida Palace goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Each night, they leave thoughtful touches in our room — sweet pastel de nata, fresh fruit, and even a shopping bag. This time, my husband mentioned it was my birthday, and I received a beautiful surprise: a bottle of champagne and a delicious chocolate cake. Their attention to detail and initiative to make guests happy is truly remarkable. Breakfast is spectacular. The buffet is gorgeous, the service is professional, and sitting by the balcony with cloth napkins and stunning china makes the experience feel luxurious in a way many hotels simply don’t offer. Avenida Palace continues to exceed our expectations every year. We can’t wait to return.

We loved staying at the Avenida Palace Hotel. The beautifully appointed rooms were very clean. The daily breakfast buffet was outstanding. Our assigned room was located on the first floor. There was some noise from the train station. The next morning, we asked for a quieter room. The hotel staff quickly moved our belongings to a higher floor. Perfect!
