La vue est imbattable. La chambre était petite pour 3, mais parfaitement fonctionnelle. Les lits étaient très confortables et la salle de bain était parfaite. Le déjeuner était très bon (nous avons pu goûter des spécialités norvégiennes). Un hôtel charmant.

It was nice and clean and just what we needed for an overnight in beautiful Bergen. 👍😊

The check in was smooth the stuff was helpful. The room was clean even though its old. But the floor in the bathroom was very warm. The breakfast was good.

We States in the old part of the hotel which is rather used, but it is clean and we had what we needed. Excellent location close to everything.

My wife and I were left stranded when our hotel, elsewhere, was closed. The staff were very helpful helping us find temporary accommodation nearby and then we returned for one night. A great hotel, if only we had booked here to start with!

Ok stay. Hotel is a bit run down and very basic. But everything worked, so no real problems. Expensive for what you get - but this is Norway.

In city Center

Breakfast was good. WC defekt.

I took my niece to Bergen for her college graduation present and we stayed at this hotel. It was within walking distance to the city center and all the fun attractions. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was wonderful. We had a great time.

The breakfast buffet was amazing

We very much enjoy the breakfast, that’s what brings us back each year. We like the location as well.

We were there during a strike so there was no housekeeping service. If you needed towels or toilet paper you had to go to desk and ask for it. It was evident there was a strike going on however we stayed at another Scandic and even though the strike was going on you would never know it. No complaints from staff at all and they went out of their way to assist you

Our room was in a building across the street. No luggage stand in our room. Elevated bath tub and shower not user friendly. Breakfast was good but not as good as Thon Astoria in Oslo, was much better.

Due to strike it was no roomcleaning. Breakfast was ok. The bar was closed. Our room was very small and a very little wardrobe …

It was in the middle of a strike, but surprisingly good. And my room had a bathtub❤️

Comfy room & great choice of food for breakfast

The Scandic Bergen city hotel was a good experience all around. It’s in a good location within walking distance of most of all the great things to see and do in Bergen, a colorful city with centuries of history. The hotel, the lobby, the dining area and the room are modern, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety of good food. This was one of our best stays in Europe. Thank you.

A disappointing and frustrating stay. Our visit didn't get off to a good start when check in involved the only unfriendly and unhelpful person we met in our Norway trip. We felt like second class citizens and she couldn't wait to be rid of us. It didn't get better when we went over the road to an annex building, security was lax as the door took ages to close and there was no card needed to work the lift. The room was very dark and had a high window onto a grim back of building scene.We had to check our booking to see if we had booked an economy room by mistake. We hadn't and the room had no resemblance to the pictures in the booking. Added to this the electrics seemed strange and lights would randomly switch themselves on and off. The next morning the bathtub the shower was in was very slippery with no grab handle. I slipped in the shower and only just managed to stop myself falling through the glass screen. I went to reception and the much friendlier lady agreed to change our room. But it meant that we were without a room until 3.30 that afternoon. It was a cold and wet day and we had to wait and dry out in reception as we watched lots of people checking in and going to their rooms. I asked to speak to a manager but was told none were available and was given an email address as a method of complaint. I wrote to it while shivering in the lobby, no reply yet. When given a room it was a double not a twin. Back at reception they immediately found a new room, which was lovely.

Even with the ongoing strike affecting the hotel, they manage to meet their guests with a smile and a pleasant tone and are very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was a little reduced due to the situation, but absolutely very good and the selection was good. All kudos to the staff who ensured that the guests did not notice too much of the ongoing strike.
