Very peaceful even though it’s next door to the noisy town. Clean, comfortable and unique in showcasing the heritage of Rajasthan. We loved the food, service by caring staff and evening folk music entertainment.

Lovely and homely property with brilliantly courteous staff that you can find only in India. The food was excellent (although over 3 days got a bit repetitive). I loved the rooms, the arrangements, and thank you for the staff for arranging for the safari, the transport onward, and everything else. Memorable stay at Sawai Madhopur thanks to the Lodge.

The serving staff and chef were very polite and accommodating. The only negative was the check-in experience, we had to wait for more than 1 hr for our room and the hotel only gave us water when we asked for it. There were no welcome drinks or anything. Otherwise the rooms were excellent, the food was good (we got the chef to make us non spicy food) and the staff were very helpful (except for the check-in staff member on the first day).

Being an old heritage property it has spacious grounds. Unusual in this day and age. The staff are great as well.

This is a great place to splurge. It's gorgeous spot to stay when visiting Ranthambore National Park. The hotel is a historic building, and has a old English quality to it. The food was delicious and plentiful. The rooms, hotel grounds, and pool were luxurious. The pool was cold and the wifi slow, but I didn't care. Such a great place to relax. There's no reason to leave the hotel, except to actually go on the wildlife drive.

Beautiful and historical resort in close proximity to the Ranthambore National Park. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Dining was limited but enjoyable. Service was a reflection of what we experienced in India generally, insistent on small tips for any service provided, lack of awareness for providing inportant gestures (station pick-up and drop-off) or providing meaningful advice on how best to visit the park.

The rooms are very nice, spacious and comfortable. The staff very accommodating. The menu for breakfast is fine but I would have liked a few more Western options for dinner. I love Indian food, but at times need a break from the spices at night so having a few less spicy options would be nice. Also on their website it indicates in 2 places that "complimentary" and free breakfast is included. NOT TRUE! They wanted to charge us an exhorbitant rate for breakfast (rps1000) but when I showed them their own website and the "free" breakfast statements, they capitulated, gave us the free breakfast (rather grudgingly) saying they would take it up with management to revise their website.

This heritage property from the 1930s gives you a wonderful sense of calm in beautiful gardens with abundant bird life (and hundreds of fruit bats). The food and service are of the usual high Taj standard and the rooms well-appointed and cosy. It is ideally placed for safaris in Ranthambore National Park and the hotel's timetable is geared to supporting guests making early morning and afternoon safaris.

Went there with family and friends, had booked four rooms, two rooms had bathrooms that were not cleaned properly, we got a queen size bed in the suite.. Apart from that the property was very nice and nicely located, the staff was very courteous and helpful, the food was good, only complain being the lack of room service..would like to be back again though..

Room was great, a really big one, the kind you look for when you wan to relax, however, the service needs to improve a lot before they can claim to be a 5 star resort.

The legendary Taj standards, which is quite high was aptly maintained. The staff there were very courteous and ensured that our stay was a memorable one. The property is very well maintained and is a treat to stay in. We got a free room upgrade too. This gesture was a good one and was done as the room allotted to us was freshly painted and we were a bit uncomfortable there. The leisure activities kept us occupied, the serene and calm ambience was worth staying. Food was really nice with a good mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian mix .We relished it to the core. The place makes you feel like a king during your stay.

In our travels around the Golden Triangle, this was the priciest lodging we booked, even taking into account that meals are included. The meals however, were pretty ordinary--not much imagination. We did enjoy the ambience of having our evening meal outdoors. This establishment seemed to enjoy its glory days under the British rule--a bit of a throwback with its grand veranda. The rooms are very large and when we first arrived, our room smelled a bit musty, but that seemed to dissipate as time went on. The staff were gracious. But it seems that at the prices charged (granted there are limited choices in the Ranthambhore area), it should be a cut above where it is.
