Great hotel and location

Staff were amazing and the building is stunning. Lots of communal areas and we had some live music in the bar in the evening. Lots of choice at breakfast and they catered to gluten free. Room was lovely and very clean. Only downside is that the leisure facilities are getting a bit run down, but they are still nice to use.

Stayed here with wider family, the staff are welcoming and being able to use the facilities before check in time is really helpful when the party is travelling from different places. The rooms were clean and the lounge area was spacious with a good menu. Breakfast food was good quality but service was slow and limited ‘help yourself’ item options (possibly it was busy and there was a lack of restocking). Overall we would stay again.

I had a fabulous stay! I was in recovery from a gastricoperation and had very tricky food requirements. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had meals that met all the requirements (dairy free, gluten free and no acidic or spicy foods). The chef made me tasty alternatives and i enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea that catered to all my dietary requirements. A special mention of Chantelle, who at every dinner service ensured that my meals met all my requirements numerous times. My stay was relaxing, in the perfect location. I would stay again thanks to the impeccable service of the staff!

Amazing service. We couldn't find parking and a gentlemen informed us there is an event, but as soon as a slot was available he rushed to us to let us know. Only thing I could improve was: the split between the beds means you fall in the gap, a good mattress topper would have solved this issue.

Everything about this hotel and the experience was excellent.

The indoor pool was great for the kids and the breakfast was very tasty.

We had a great 1-night stay in March 2025. The service from the staff was impeccable and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy, and functional with a very large bathroom. The included amenities (indoor pool, steam room, jacuzzi) and complimentary breakfast was outstanding. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel but thee service(or lack of it) was appaling. Never stayed in a hotel where the service was so bad. Will not ever return here

Came here for a weekend getaway with my husband and a few friends. We paid extra upon arrival for a room upgrade. Pros: the valet was amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a convenient location with sea views and proximity to the seven sisters walk. Overall positive experience Cons: it’s just not a 5 star hotel, while it is certainly grand, it was more of a 3 star experience from general upkeep and offerings. The breakfast was not very good and the amenities are outdated.

Regretfully, for the rating of the hotel and the price, the quality overall was disappointing. Breakfast cooked was not hot. Wait time between courses on one night was lengthy. Needed more staff to cope better.

Food excellent. Most of the restaurant staff not very friendly or welcoming.

The hotel decoration was beautiful and very clean. The room was perfect and when we had an issue the staff were very efficient and moved us to a new room. The hotel was very quiet except for a bit of noise during one day when scaffolding was being erected outside the new room we were in, this was due to repairs taking place so couldn’t be helped. We had a superb breakfast each morning with lots of choice.

Beautiful classic hotel that is grand in all aspects not just name. Aside from the opulent surroundings, the service was excellent - responsive and helpful staff. The breakfast (the only meal I had at the hotel) was absolutely outstanding. Super comfortable bed and room also - two nights of great sleep even though I don't normally sleep well away from home. Will be back with the whole family!

Absolutely amazing staff, facilities and breakfast. The pool was amazing and the lady who was working at the pool was beyond fantastic. Can’t recommend enough!!! Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent hotel. Couldn’t fault anything apart from the fact there is no air con & the room was very hot at night
