High class high quality

We visited this hotel as a party of eight for a Golden Wedding anniversary celebration. The reception staff there went well above and beyond what could reasonably be expected. They accommodated all our requests happily and efficiently and contributed significantly to our very pleasurable stay. The little 'perks' the hotel offers it's guests also contribute to the very positive view we have of the establishment.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very attentive but ….. There is no AC and the weekend we went was incredibly hot , it made our stay very uncomfortable. On arrival there was no space to book for dinner at a decent time but the patio was free , so we went to the patio for drinks to start , our server advised we should book a table in the patio section to secure a slot , which we did , then our table was given away this was the first of the many errors that followed , we were then told we could order food to the sofa section where we were sat , food comes out , but no cutlery , then more food arrives still no cutlery, over 10 mins food just sat there with nothing to eat it with , even after complaining , in the end my wife went into the actual restaurant and took it off the table , utterly shocking , even more shocking no server returned to check then the food , my wife hates mushrooms, requested no mushrooms , it came with mushrooms, I ordered sea bass but it was uneditable. Our server did remove the sea bass and service charge , but the damage had already been done , very disappointing.

Beautiful room with original details and large modern bathroom with great facilities. Whilst the outdoor pool and spa area is being renovated and built they are managing alternate facilities very well. Well made cocktails with a few interesting twists and good menu. So much space to kick back and relax and for kids to run and play without disturbing others.

lovely hotel, staff very good

The spa facilities are excellent as is the food. The staff in the restaurant were lovely - friendly and enthusiastic. They were a pleasure to talk to.

The check in and check out was seamless. The room was clean. The swimming pool could have been cleaner. Saw old plaster and various debris in the water which dampened the experience a bit. The rest of amenities were great.

Great hotel

Suite had no study area / phone charging facilities. TV in the bedroom did not offer the services of the main Tv. No where to sit and prepare to fine. Coffee machine needed updating….drinks were only warm once poured. Bar area a little untidy and empty glasses were moved by us to make room to sit

Beautiful inside and out. We will be back!

Our room was perfect. Nice decor and the bed was so comfortable with lovely bedding. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Lovely roll top bath and toiletries provided. Great location, right opposite the spa and there was even a sauna and 2 hot tubs outside our room. The decor of the public rooms was gorgeous with cosy log fires and comfortable sofas and chairs. The service from everyone was exceptional. Very attentive and friendly. Great food and drinks. Will definitely stay here again

The suite was a perfect family room. Facilities great. Good breakfast and stunning grounds to explore.

Everything was absolutely great! The room was superb and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Wonderful staff , facilities and location

The hotel is beautiful , set in a lovely countryside setting and the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. The food was also outstanding we loved our stay here and will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel, impeccable service/staff, beautiful rooms, great food. Outdoor pool could do with a refresh (missing tiles, discolouration)

Very attentive staff Due to the hotel being a listed building there is no lift and having a room on tte 3rd floor not ideal when you have heavy cases A negative is as there is a lot of material decoration dust is a problem opening curtains in the morning you could see dust in the air.excellant breakfast The outside of the building looks great with a marvellous setting.car parking is sometimes a problem depending on how busy the hotel is
