The room was good but our fridge freezer was frozen so the fridge wasn’t working and I had to ask for a replacement. The maintenance man was lovely and had come to change it right away. We had the batteries in our smoke detector die so needed them changed because it kept chirping. I went to the desk and they said they would send someone so we left for the day and no one changed them so when we returned had to go back down again to the front desk to ask. I couldn’t call because the phone wasn’t working. The hotel is in a great spot within walking distance of several excellent restaurants. So not a terrible stay but could have been better.

The staff was very welcoming during my check-in, and the check-out process was quick and simple. The free parking was a bonus. The location is convenient for access to the highway and public transportation, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was clean, and the housekeeping service was excellent. The fitness and wellness facilities were great, and the outdoor swimming pool is perfect for a hot day. My only complaint is that it was somewhat noisy due to the proximity to the highway and street. However, I enjoyed my stay.

Great stay

I am writing this review with a heavy heart. I wish my stay at Ruby Foo’s went better than it did. When checking in, my friend and I got asked if we were there last week, to find out we were mistaken for some type of escort or another. They also denied me a basic necessity: toilet paper. I had to ask front desk a total of three times. First two times they said it would be in my room when I returned, but none was there. Had to ask one last time and wait at front desk to finally get some. Lastly, the WiFi was quite spotty, even for just one device. Even though I am giving the one star, housekeeping was very friendly and attentive when I was waiting for the toilet paper. Thank you.

Good location with free parking and close access to metro and near Royalmount. You will need to ask for bath robes and linens if using sofabed. Nice pool and great restaurant experience for brunch.

I was there under less than ideal circumstances and the front desk staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They had to stretch to make things work and they did it without making me feel like a burden. If I could give them more than 5* I would!

This is a gem of a hotel ! The hotel is older in design but super updated with a Asian motif. The outdoor pool is lovely but closes early. Close to all sorts of resturants and stores. It will be our family's go to place from now on.

The property was really close to the Metro. A lot of restaurants in the surrounding areas. Our bathroom did not have bath soap when we came in the room and had to request for it. The bath tub has a note saying something like you need to be careful and put a rubber mat but you also have to request it instead of being available to you (the tub is very slippery). The water pressure in the bathroom was so low (sink, toilet and shower).

The place had character and it was not crowded. The heated pool was excellent with towels and a life guard most of the time. The rooms were clean and bright. The blackout barn door style curtains helped us sleep in.

I would consider this hotel to be a solid 3.5 stars. Rooms were good. The distance from the center part of the city is a little far, but the metro is easy to use and conveniently located close to hotel.

the stay WAS HORRIBLE!!! the hotel is so RUN DOWN DO NOT STAY HERE the floors are broken and lifting; the TOILETS keep clogging ; i used the gym and the pull down almost dropped the weights on my feet it literally broke coming down!!! the whole hotel is a hazard! washrooms look like its molding there was a FIRE alarm and there was NO ANNOUNCEMENT ; they didnt even tell us if its false, real NOTHING.. there was no communication at all . worse experience;.. i barely put reviews - I WOULD NOT STAY HERE

Good rooms very nice pool

Great stay. Lovely pool, solid hotel restaurant. Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Not the most convenient location in the city, but it's a half hour subway ride to downtown/Old Montreal, and the station is a block away. Plus the free parking is tough to come by on the island. Plenty of other guests, but never felt "packed in."
