To start, if I could, I would take off half a star for an unreasonably high price we were charged for our two rooms. It didn’t help that we were forced to book this lodging last-minute where our other accommodation fell through, and we went through a stressful hour of trying to find some place to stay. In Europe especially, I’ve found, try to book something at the last minute usually results in paying a ridiculous price for last-minute accommodation, which explained our situation (made worse given we booked two rooms at the “family price” – but with no kids in tow, we had to pay an extra 50 Euros). Apart from the inflated price, I’d say the serendipity gods were on our side. The “AC Hotel Burgos” met or every need, and then some. We fretted about parking; the hotel had a garage, and we were offered it free (after I bitched about the no-children mark-up), and we were allowed to leave or rental car during the day while we toured the town. It appeared that the hotel was in an elegant old building that was completely gutted inside to form a triangle-shaped central core five-floors deep. The rooms were sleek, modern and comfortable, with tall windows opening to the street; mine featured a fancy, oxidized green railing that formed a tiny (unusable) terrace. The rooms had all the comforts one could want (including hair conditioner!), including mini-bar; WIFI was rock solid. A place down the street was recommended to us that served delicious pizza; as we ate and supped on beers, I remarked at the bustling sidewalks, apparently students from the nearby university. It was a lively – one might say exciting – part of town. The next day we discovered the Burgos Cathedral, near where we had planned to stay, was actually the same, short block or two away. If your budget is tight, stay far away from the AC Hotel Burgos (or at least, plan carefully!!!). If you can afford it, I highly recommend this property.

Really well appointed hotel. Rooms were good size although my only negative observation was the shower in our room was over a spa bath and the water went everywhere so not ideal. Location wise though it was perfect, a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral and on the edge of the old town where all the restaurants were. Underground parking is a bit tight to get into, especially in my Porsche.

I had a bad experience, I parked my car in the hotel parking in front of the hotel, for one hour and the police fined me, I asked the receptionist and she said she took care of it then 3 months later I get per post the fine from the police 200 euros, the hotel is not responsible they tell me and they cannot help me they said.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the hotel AC Burgos. It is the perfect location to access everything we love about Burgos. Our only complaint is the design of the hotel room doors which almost inevitably result in the heavy metal doors slamming and rattling the brains of occupants in the neighboring rooms. Not only did the door slamming wake us up after midnight, they woke us up again before 7:00 AM. It appears to be a design flaw which must have a remedy.

The hotel is situated on the center of the town, a charming hotel with a beautiful view Breakfast is very lousy and doesn’t worth the money !!! Rooms are a bit old bathrooms especially. But still a great hotel since it’s situated in the heart of the town
