Omg nightmare

The room was clean, the setting is amazing on the Rideau Canal system, and the restaurant next door was first rate. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again

Nice view of Rideau River. The hôtel needs some renovations

The hotel is very old and the installations definetely need renovation. The carpet is dirty and cleaning overall needs improvement. I think it is ok if you are just looking for price. We decide to leave earlier as the elevator broken twice in 2 days, there was a police incident in our floor and the air conditioning works in the rooms only, not in the corridor. The staff was super nice and responsive, but the building is old and really can use some renovation, as there are a lot of patches around.

Good location , rooms and bathrooms need much more attention to detailed cleaning. Breakfast was ok. Building needs upgrades.

While the bed was clean the bathroom was disgusting. There was hair all over the floor when we arrived including the toilet. The room was im very rough shape alot of patchwork on walls of repairs unpainted. It was a large room which was nice and the AC was the best.

The staff were nice. The hotel is in rough shape. The ceiling was pealing on the shower and the patchwork of the walls was not done well. It use a renovation.

Great for a nights stay

Dated property, peeling wallpaper, old carpet, rusty ceiling light, repaired ceiling plaster from a roof leak and generally a tired site makes the cosmetics a turn off. BUT the location is excellent and is better than the nearby hotels that are on a boring highway. It was quiet. Good view from the balcony, overlooking the water. Easy walk to restaurants and the canal nearby. The morning continental breakfast was forgettable.

Property was dated

Location, location, location. Its beautiful looking out over the greenery and to the working locks belowe. And very Inexpensive because it's getting older, but clean as can be and the staff very kind and helpful. Victoria

I have to say I was most impressed with the staff. One person in particular. Whatever issues I ran into he was very eager to solve it. The view from the room is beautiful although you can only enjoy it from the balcony or going outside which I highly recommend. The hotel is old and needs a major renovation. I had a hard time figuring out how to start and stop the shower. They are pet friendly. Given that there are balconies people smoke there which isn’t much fun if you don’t like to smell it. The price was good and for one night it was great. It is also close to everything which was a bonus.

Very bad break fast option and didn’t have any choices
