Hotel is dated rooms need a face lift

We enjoyed our stay as usual. That is why we stay at the Windsor Arms. We will book a room there the next time we are staying in Toronto. We have stayed there several times and are always treated as returning friends.

Beautiful, historic hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and the room was excellent especially given the price compared to other hotels in the area. The building itself is old and it has characteristics of an old building. Some things show a bit of (aesthetic) wear but are completely clean and functional otherwise. The continental breakfast was a bit of a disappointment ($19 for coffee, juice, and a selection of about four different pastries) and I'd recommend going to one of the many cafes in the area instead.

Fantastic staff and cool vibe. The only thing I would suggest is to clean the carpets in the room but the beds are super comfy.

The property has a lot of old school character and eclectic elegance, we stayed in a lovely suite. The location is great. Afternoon tea is an amazing experience. However we had dinner at the Gatsby restaurant and it was out of character and awful by any measure. Other reviews report the same. Too bad this drags the whole property down.

Wonderful hotel. Clean room, comfortable beds, lovely staff. Fantastic breakfast. I ordered my eggs over medium (for eggs Benny) and the eggs were cooked to actual perfection (which a lot of restaurants have difficulty with) these eggs were perfect! I didn’t give a perfect score for maintenance only because there were a few minor things in our room and the pool area that I noticed needed repairing. Great hotel would stay there again!

Elegant and cozy with wonderful amenities but the staff are the true gems of this property! Carol at the front desk, Peter, Valet and doorman, and our porter Mr. T made our stay truly exceptional with next level customer service. We will be back!!!

Room was very nice. Three delicious cookies, All very well done. Great restaurant.

Beautiful rooms, lovely bath and shower. Halls were quiet at night. Staff was considerate and friendly. Meals were excellent and we enjoyed our visit in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Lots of character

At the Windsor Arms Hotel one might expect Agatha Christie to step out of one of the rooms! This hotel is right out of a page from the Great Gatsby for sure! Our 4th floor junior suite was comfy cozy,clean and very quiet. We didn’t hear a peep from the very loud gathering held in the ballroom on 1 st floor when we returned to our room from a fantastic Lebanese restaurant recommended to us by one of the very friendly and knowledgeable front desk people. Breakfast in the breakfast room was good with great service . Concierge and valet people all very attentive. We were last at this fine old hotel in 1989!It was lovely to see that although it has been renovated not much has changed in its character and that is a good thing!

I enjoyed a delicious omelette one morning and French toast the next. Food was lovely. We had drinks in the bar one night.

The service was impeccable. The hotel is very well kept and the staff is very friendly. We’ll be back for sure
