If you are going to the Messe (Exhibition hall) then this is perfect - right across the road! The hotel itself is nice enough - a great bar and restaurant. The rooms are a little old fashioned and tired, and could do with brightening up - but for a business trip they are fine. The bed was comfy and shower was great. Breakfast selection is very good. Great for a business trip, but I would not stay her if a pleasure trip as very corporate. Service was very good. Only a short walk (25 mins) into town, or a short tram ride.

Perfect place to stay. Close to the city center. Private parking available for an extra fee. The rooms are well-equipped and have everything you need. Very clean with a fresh renovation. The staff is highly qualified and attentive. We were allowed to check in earlier than the usual time, which was a very pleasant surprise.

I stayed at the Dorint Hotel for two nights and had a terrible experience. The reception staff were rude and did not explain anything about the hotel or its facilities. The rooms looked very old, and the shower soaps were empty. Additionally, the door handle were giving shock when we touched it, which was very uncomfortable and concerning. The only positive aspect of my stay was the breakfast, which was delicious.

Stayed a week for a job at Gamescom and had a great experience! Everything is nice, but I particularly want to point out the great breakfast buffet that’s very suitable for vegans and people on a plant based diet. Everything was clearly labeled vegan and there was enough to choose from so that breakfast didn’t get boring on a one week long stay, which is rare for hotel breakfasts. The spa is also great, very modern and well maintained, and at 6€ an absolute bargain!

Avoid this hotel! Dirty, old, and absolutely not a 5-star standard barely 3 at best. Service is awful, rooms are poorly equipped, and they even clean only every two days (!). I left one night early and was promised a refund, but the hotel denied it afterward. Total scam. Stay away from Dorint Cologne!
