It may not be a brand new property, but the staff is excellent and treats you like family!! It has a swim up bar, beautiful jungle area and the restaurant serves many great dishes and drinks!!

Would like to be able to go to the beach before 12:30. That is a wasted day when I have to wait until after noon. Also had to pay $200-$300 dollars to enter a different beach resort and not get compensated for it. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Couldn't quite see the sunsets from our balcony because of trees, but great sunsets from the pool deck and private beach across the street. Yes the building is getting on, but so am I. Plenty of parking for our scooter, and close to most of the beach clubs.

As a solo traveler I feel really safe here. Friendly staff.

We love Casa del Mar and everyone that works there!! Beautiful views, delicious yummies, drinks with actual liquor in them, and the nicest people on the island work there!!

We were 3 and we rented a suite with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. We scuba dived and for the price it was just perfect.

This was a perfect hotel for my wife and me. I could dive with several dive shops, and my wife could enjoy the pool, close to downtown, and several beaches.

Casa del Mar is our favorite home away from home!! The entire crew goes above n beyond everytime!!

I have stayed at this hotel for over 15 years, sometimes more than once per year. But his may be the last time. The staff has been the main reason to return each year, they are really excellent, friendly and efficient. The hotel needs investment in the bedrooms (both the bedrooms and bathrooms), they are in fairly poor condition. Exterior bathroom windows are not sealed from mosquitoes, showers are poor and tile work generally needs replacement. The menu in the restaurant has hardly changed in the last 16 years, it needs to improve. The amount of choice is reasonable Ok but the quality needs to improve. The walkway from the hotel to the beach area has been in disrepair for several years but is now dangerous. Again I have to mention the staff are great, I hope the hotel can keep them.

The age of the hotel is showing, you can tell it was built in the late 70s or 80s Needs renovations asap.

We stayed there for one night, before boarding a cruise. The hotel was good for what we needed. Pool, walking distance to port, close to shore. Would have been nice to have access to a beach area to swim

We have stayed at Casa Del Mar over 20 times in the last 16 years. The staff are why we keep coming back. This may be the last time we stay there as the hotel needs upgrades in many areas. The bedrooms are noisy with the AC and fridge and generally need refurbishment. Bathroom windows (most rooms) are not sealed and allow mosquitoes to enter. Showers/sinks generally need to be replaced and water flow improved. The Restaurant has not changed the menu in 16 years and the quality of the food has decreased. The Cabanas are good, we have stayed in them several times to avoid staying the main hotel rooms, this is an expensive decision to have to make. The bridge from the hotel to the beach has been in disrepair for several years, it is dangerous and has not been repaired. Management needs to take action or they will lose more long term guests. Most of the rest of our Dive Team do not stay there anymore. While the great staff entice us to return it is getting more difficult due to condition of the rooms and the restaurant.

This was our fourth stay in Cozumel, and our third at Casa Del Mar in the past 4 years. The staff is very friendly, supportive, and helpful. The location offers great convenience for Divers, and proximity for shopping and dining. You can walk to downtown we did it twice this trip. The prices are very reasonable, and we are already planning our next trip and stay at Casa Del Mar.

This is my second time staying in this hotel, we noticed a declived in the food service in this hotel from the last time. I hope they will improve it next time.
