Great hotel in a great location with expensive but excellent parking

The welcome desk staff was fantastic. Told us that the museum was only open on Sunday and as we were leaving on Tuesday so if we wanted to see it we should go there first. Absolutely the most helpful advice we got. We loved our room and the location. Absolutely a fantastic hotel. Highly recommend it. Cannot say anything bad about it.

A great choice for exploring Merida. It’s not quite the 5 star hotel it’s listed as on some sites, but it is still excellent. Nice big rooms with character and good bathrooms. The pool is lovely (it’s also green: perfectly safe and lots of people were in it, but it was green). The bar isn’t a bar - it’s a cafe and it’s not open that late (for Spain) but that doesn’t really matter a the square out front has loads of bars. Stored my luggage on check out fine. Online check in didn’t work but front desk were good/quick. 15 minutes walk from bus station, 10 from train station, easy walk to the Roman theatre and other sites.

The location of the property is wonderful, right in the middle of the main plaza. It’s a hit and miss with the rooms. Our air conditioner was not cooling. We had to be moved to another room. The second room had air but it smelled like pure cigarettes. The view was a rock wall with metal bars. But if you happen to get a room on the newer side of the hotel consider yourself lucky.

We appreciated that our car was parked by a staff member at a time when there was very little driving near the hotel because of a celebration in the town.

Top notch hotel with all the luxuries a traveler would want. The roof top pool, pure bliss.

Excellent location and very good car parking service. Nice room overlooking Plaza de Spaña. Interesting building with delightful staff. Can a hotel with a swimming pool that’s only open seasonally qualify as a 5*?

Good property with good value for your money. Breakfast a bit hectic and understaffed but ok.

First of all the building IS a palace. Very beautiful and well decorated. The staff was superb - really went out of their way to help, accommodate, and guide us.

Beautiful hotel in the center of town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in front of the plaza with many dining options right in front of hotel, ideal to live the tapas culture!
