Couldn't fault it. Had a fantastic stay

Breakfast was not worth £20 and considering the plumb tomatoes were cold and the other items were warm only I weren’t impressed. Breakfast starts at 07:30 hrs but was not on time any of the days I intended was another letdown, on the Friday ’my last day’ I went to breakfast at 07:30 hrs and waited 10 mins only for them to tell me they were taking orders for breakfast only so I missed out as I had the be at work from 08:00 hrs. Not impressed with this place at all, I won’t be going back.

Staff lovely, friendly and helpful. Food very nice as was the service. DSpa good value for money and restful, the outside hot tubs in the snow great fun. Room clean and tidy, decor a little tired but then again it is an 800+ year old building! did not at all detract from our stay

The room was very very tired , chipped bath, windows that don’t fully close, tea and coffee facilities closed in a filthy dingy cupboard, booked a double room for our wedding anniversary and we were given a room with two single beds pushed together. Would not return and would not recommend really disappointing stay

All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay lovely

Lovely hotel in a wonderful place, incredible historic building. Staff very friendly and welcoming, good service and excellent food. Rooms comfortable and well equipped. A wobderful mid-week stay and looking forward to going back again.

Staff were brilliant, location is fantastic, this is an older hotel being a castle but it’s sad to see many of the outside areas are shut off crumbling away.

Good stay , always to a very good standard . Buffet breakfast good variety across the board . Fantastic grounds and building . I discover something new / old (it is a castle ) everytime I stay there !!

Ruthin Castle is a beautiful location with a good selection of rooms. Staff was friendly and parking was sufficient. A would rate it as a god mid-range stay. We did not take advantage of the spa services so we can not rate that aspect. Our main complaint was our room had a pretty bad sour / moldy smell. After a few minutes you are "nose-blind" to it, but it was a bit overwhelming when we first step into the room.

Amazing ancient monument in a great location. Superb place to stay. Lovely staff and great service. Standard room was a little tired, but ok. Breakfast was superb. Dinner menu is not very imaginative, bar and wine is expensive. Worth checking out other nearby options for food and drink.

Another great stay at the Castle! Friendly staff, room clean and warm as always. We always enjoy a nice cold drink from the Tafarn and take time out watching the peacocks- amazing place, se you again very soon!
