I asked when i booked whether i could hv a lower bunk. They responded maybe. They did and even put a sign on the bed that it was reserved. The bed was very comfortable. It wasnt too bad as far as noise was concerned.

My room was clean and prepared when I checked-in and the staff was helpful and professional. The hotel is located next to Hermannplatz, which can get noisy and busy during the days since it's a hub for public transportation for the U-subway and busses, which can take you to all the main tourist spots in Berlin. Overall, I recommend this hotel if you want to balance saving money on hotel stays and being as close as possible to transit to the tourist spots.

Place was nice and clean. Super cozy and welcoming. Our room came with a bottle of sparkling water and little candies, super sweet!

Managers at the reception were friendly and helpful. The whole lobby area itself smelled very bad on Saturday all afternoon. It seemed to have been cleaned next day and there was no smell anymore. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The neighborhood is not pleasant, not a single normal restaurant around, just tiny places with low-quality fast food taking only cash for payment, untidy tables, crowds of unpleasant people, dirtiness, people smoking everywhere. It did not feel safe despite of lots of police. Would never stay in this area anymore.

Paolo at the Grand Hostel Urban was the kindest person I met during my trip to Berlin! I never felt uncomfortable talking to staff and asking questions about my stay. The check-in was smooth, and the drinks/coffee offered downstairs were incredible. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious, and had a lovely view of the streets and the Fernsehturm at a distance.The location is conveniently next to U8 which takes you to Alexanderplatz where there are a lot of famous sights and easy connections to other parts of the city. Though I had a few uncomfortable encounters around where I stayed, I would recommend booking with Grand Hostel Urban.

We stayed in a double room with en suite facilities. Very affordable so we were surprised at the facilities. Very clean very comfortable bed. Staff were very welcoming. The Hostel is more like a hotel which is good and is very central in location. Lots of great cafes restaurants and bars all in easy access. Public transport is right outside the door making it very easy to get around Berlin. Brilliant choice

I stayed in a private room for one night. Really nice room, comfy and plenty of room. The staff were really nice. Reception had a strange smell, not sure if that was a one off or not but you are not in the reception for long anyway so it doesn't matter too much

Very great stay, returned multiple times - helpful and friendly front desk staff. Solid location and easy access to most of Berlin!

Service was good the location was good aswell since you couod get the u8 train to town and it was close to the hostel aswell. Bed was comfortable.

This hostel was perfect for my first trip to Berlin! The single room was very affordable, the staff was very helpful, and it was both close to the U Bahn and centrally located for what I wanted to see and do on the trip. Having the option for a nice breakfast was also great when I wasn't up for venturing out to a cafe.
