Good hotel overall. Note there is no air conditioning. They have ceiling fans. The property has older aged look/decor but other than that its clean and tidy, very friendly staff, good food included.

The setting and the location

Really enjoyed the stay. Great choice of breakfast and dinner. Staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Amazing place to relax and enjoy your time off alone or with a partner. Very quiet ans beautiful, has two amazing pools and the people are amazung

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it to anyone. It helped we had fabulous weather. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us so well.

The hotel grounds, pool etc are excellent along with all the staff, always smiling, happy and helpful. The food was good apart from the Italian night which didn't appear to have a lot of Italian food. The rooms are clean and spacious but are in need of an update along with the bathrooms imo. Complimentary shampoo/conditioner would be nice along with bottled water. Not enough electrical sockets. Overall a nice hotel and would certainly stay again ☺️

Nice hotel with decent facilities, but the wi-fi in my room was awful - couldn't work or make calls using it at all (though it was better in the public areas). Also I found the breakfast buffet rather disappointing, with very little to mark it as Madeiran.

This place had a "nursing home" feel to it. In fact my wife joked she was going to "check me in". I didn't know but apparently Madeira Island has always been an old people place. This was also much different because I thought it was a small boutique place, it is a HUGE place, a corporate place with two hotels joined in the middle

Rooms good size and all the necessary amenities in place kept very clean. All staff friendly. Location good.

Though located right in the city due to its lovely set up it is really quiet and you almost have the feeling to be in a botanic garden dotted with swimming pools on different levels. The room was homely and clean and even had a kitchen. The breakfast was included and amazingly good. The staff were super friendly and fun.

The hotel was a bit old and has a stale smell but front desk staff is good. Level of attentiveness is high.

The gardens were excellent and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the low-rise nature of the hotel - we were on the ground floor, but the highest was only 6 floors and fairly unobtrusive. We were not informed beforehand that there was a charge of €6.50 per day for car parking!

Fantastic stay for 4 nights in Madeira. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing! Room was large, clean and had everything so needed. The garden around the pool is gorgeous.

Beautiful gardens, quiet, relaxing property, good location, nice size balconies. A very good buffet breakfast, happy hour daily at the pool bar and some other good options for dinner at the property and the adjoining hotel. Hotel is older, bathrooms could be updated in the rooms. Hotel staff are really efficient and professional.

Choice of pools and restaurants. Varied selection of hot and cold food at breakfast.Sunbeds available at any time of day. Very friendly staff. Good selection of bars and restaurants in vicinity of hotel.

Its a great place t stay. It's all I can say about this great resort with a wonderful staff
