Great Pub & Rooms, stayed here with family of 4 Adults, had a room which suited us, clean tidy, 3 beds, bathroom, views. This is an old building that has had heaps of love put into it, you need to remember where you are and be realistic about your expectations, if I was being honest, it exceeded my expectations no matter the age of building. Just so sad what the bush fires did to the forestry, but definitely on the return. We got on the Rocky Mountaineer the following day.

We had booked a room with two queen beds just for a little get-away from Edmonton and were upgraded to a more spacious room with a king-sized bed and a beautiful view of the mountains. They also gave us complementary parking! This, I think, was due to the fact that our daughter had called and ordered champagne & Jasper-made “sweets” for us as a gift. The Manager arranged to purchase those items on her behalf (or have a staff member purchase them) and have them in our room as a special surprise. We enjoyed going in the hot tub on the roof. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

Room was clean and spacious. Was offered parking on site. Check in was quick enough but I did not appreciate my credit card information was entered into the computer. My room was prepaid. Enough credit card fraud going on these days. Anyhow the negative part is the soundproofing. Wow, there is just about nothing between the rooms. It was so noisy. I head just about everything from the rooms beside mine. I am a light sleeper. Quietness is important for me, so the noise is a big turn off for me.

We stayed there for 2 nights. At first was decent, however once we went out to smoke, a few homeless came in to ask for cigarettes and cash. There are no cameras or probably they're not connected as I caught one of the homeless sneaking in my vehicle. They would not take a "no" for an answer. Then, on the second night, the guys next door were having a party, probably were 12-15 guys in one bedroom running to the hot-tub with beer on their hands and completely drunk. I wouldn't be happy having my family there nor risking my wife or daughter as the guys didn't show any respect to my friends. The hotel location is great, right in downtown having everything in walking distance. The heater in my bedroom didn't work, however I had extra blankets with me so used them, but I don't think that's the idea when paying for a hotel. We left and everything seemed to be fine, then I was supposed to get my deposit back and I didn't because the hotel said that we smoked in the room , which we didn't as we are aware there's a fine for doing so. I won't stay there again for sure. The restaurant downstairs is great, 100% recommended.

TERRIBLE STAY. TERRIBLE SERVICE We stayed two nights on a recent ski trip and it was terrible. We had a group staying next to us who came in loud and disruptive at 2am. We had to call the front desk numerous times to get them to do anything about it. After multiple calls, the most the front end staff were willing to do was to ask them to close the door to their room. They were very apologetic to the rowdy party for interrupting them and they explained how sorry they were, that we just kept complaining about the noise. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! The shouting, the singing and the guitar playing carried on until 4am without consequence. When I approached the manager about this, he acknowledged that there was a disturbance and he felt that his staff had handled the situation appropriately. He seemed to recount a slightly different version of the efforts the front end attendant made and gave us a very insincere "I'm sorry your stay was not up to your standard" and gave us a lousy 10% off of our bill. But no worries, we were reassured that he let them know that their behaviour was unacceptable when they left.
