Units are always very clean and updated nicely. We have stayed there in the past and will continue to do so in the future. This was our third trip there. Well stocked kitchens, bbq grills pool hot tub and right on the beach not much more you could ask for really.

I loved how personal the place was and private. Glad it was not over populated. The staff were amazing. Unit had everything needed, even beach chairs and umbrellas. Only thing that I could say needed an upgrade was pool area. The loungers were old and gross and stained my bathing suit and towels

The location in relation to beach access is great. However the closer your room is to the street the less beach you hear and the more street noise you get. And since each room is privately owned you never know what the bed will be like. Ours was beyond firm. We didn't realize you could get a bed this hard.

This was a work-cation for us, prior to the July 4th holiday. It was just my husband and I, we are in our early thirties with no kids and wanted a little get away before having a real vacation up in Amelia Island. It was so nice to work all day then hop in the pool/ocean then make or find dinner. We are typically Ritz Carlton type of folks, but Gulf Strand served our purposes for this work-cation very well. Spacious condos with great internet, exactly what we needed. Cleaning - was as expected for a condo resort. We had a few crumbs in a kitchen appliance, but that's about it. Given how quickly they need to flip large condos, no complaints here. The space - The condo was very well appointed. The king bed was comfy and we loved having two bathrooms. It was just my husband and I, and we only have one bathroom at home so this was a treat. We were in #307. The view - I have seen the view brought up in online reviews, you need to understand that this is a small complex and about 95% of the condos have the same view of the parking lot for beach access. If you turn your head, yes you can see the beach, just a sliver. I'm sure you can purchase beach front, those condos seemed to be very large, but if you don't purchase this don't expect a 'view.' Beach and pool - Pool was small and hot tub was hot, both as expected. The beach out front was lovely. It was almost bathtub like, so it was nice to have a refreshing pool! Our condo had two beach chairs and a few noodles.

Condo was clean, appliances all worked very well. The mattress and pillows need to be replaced. Our biggest issue was the noise - between the mattress, the pillows and the noise, we slept very, very badly. On site manager very nice and helpful. Fantastic to be right on the beach. Note that resort fees do NOT cover the additional $30/day for lounge chairs and umbrella.. Mostly, though, be aware that this is just a bunch of rental condos. Small swimming pool, old building, right on the main drag.

Unit balcony over looked the public beach access parking lot and there was limited angled view of the gulf. Office staff were very nice and helpful and professional. Great location on the beach. Great beach.

I stayed in Unit 406. The building is spotless and in excellent condition--solid as a rock, very clean, very modern, and very well maintained. Perfect elevator. Easy to use stairs. The location is really perfect. It is on the beach and just a few steps to the ocean. The neighborhood seems safe. It is next to the public access beach parking lot. There is a Publix, Chick-Fil-A and Walgreens across the street. There are several restaurants within walking distance including Gigi's Italian and Grand Hacienda Mexican. I recommend both. The rental management appears to be offsite and are reachable by phone. I had no issues with check in or out, but you are pretty much on your own there. That is mainly good. You have to just treat it like you live there. The unit itself was totally dated, but extremely well maintained and perfectly clean. The washer/dryer and all appliances worked great. The bathroom was dated, but clean and completely fine. I really only had one issue and it was a major one. The pillows and the mattress were both beyond horrible. I really had the worst night of sleep I can remember. The bed and pillows need an upgrade and are at least several years past their expiration date. Really terrible. I recommend bringing your own pillow if you rent Unit 406 and maybe sleeping on the floor or the sofa. The unit came with beach chairs, a cooler that I used for the beach and saved $30 renting a chair and towels. I will be back , but I will bring a pillow.

Convenient to everything. We love this place. Parking free, grocery store across the street, restaurants, fishing. Love the covered bottom to cool off from the beach. We won’t stay anywhere else.

Condo was clean and in great shape. Location was beach front which was very nice . I wouldn’t really call this a resort basically a condo with a small swimming pool. It is located in a less busy area of gulf blvd which was nice but made finding someplace to eat at after 10pm a challenge. Overall a nice relaxing vacation with no issues would stay there again.

What a cool spot on an unspoiled beach. The rooms were perfectly Florida: unpretentious and beach decor abound. Make no mistake: this is not your five stAr beach resort. There are plenty of those around. But if you’re looking for a reliable, clean, and quality location within walking distance to a grocery store, shops, bars, sailboat charters, etc, then stay at the strand. Mere feet from white sandy beaches! Balconies, etc. the room had everything we needed. It was also great to have laundry in the room. We went home with clean clothes!

Was a nice older one bedroom condo and perfect for my wife and 12 yr old daughter. Great location and the condo had everything you need for a great stay. Kitchen had pots, pan's, appliance's, etc. Nice balcony with side view of the Gulf.
