The Royalton Punta Cana was a lovely property. The staff were very kind and efficient. Our Butler, Christian was remarkable. He a joy to work with. He went above and beyond our expectations. Our only complaint is the food. The steak at Hunters was thin and definitely not grilled. For an added charge you can upgrade your meat selection. Grazies, Italian was fair. The Mexican restaurant wasn't even fair. Unfortunately, I have an allergy to Shrimp. Was given a card to give to the hostess stating my allergy. Problem is that I don't speak Spanish and couldn't explain about cross contamination. They have a lot of shrimp on their menu. Under the Sea was good. Christian made sure that there wiuld be someone there who understood my allergy. Overall, the Diamond Lounge had decent food, as well as the Diamond bar on the beach.

My wife and I, along with our two daughters (14 and 9) recently spent 5 nights at the Royalton Punta Cana (Diamond Club). Like those of you reading this review, we also read a decent amount of reviews for RPC and I'll try my best to summarize my thoughts and my experience. First, I'll like to show my appreciation for Ozuna, who was our designated facilitator ("Butler"). Without him, our stay at RPC would have been uncomfortable and stressful. I will strongly encourage upgrading to Diamond, it's worth every penny. I'm giving my overall experience a 3/5. The good: This place was absolutely beautiful, the property is well-kept and the beach was pristine with very little, if any, seaweed. The pools are clean and the water park was great. The food was ok, but I didn't expect it to be amazing being the amount of guests that flow through this resort. The bad: In our opinion, 7 out of 10 staff members we interacted with were rude and almost left us feeling like we were unwanted or uninvited guests at a house party. I really hope my review, and others similar in nature, captures the attention of upper management at RPC because this place is really beautiful and I believe the staff should enhance the experience not hinder it. We treated all staff members with a smile and we were always eager to show our appreciation with generous tips. Our stay at RPC was short and I'm saddened that moments during this stay made me regret spending my money here.

I've stayed in various Resort here in Punta Cana, but the Royalton is currently in my top 3 favorite Resorts. From the staff, the food, the facility everything has been outstanding. Such a peaceful and beautiful place, me and my husband were delighted with everything and everyone. Jeifry vargas and everyone else's offered us an incredible experience. I hope to be back soon, with the rest of my family.

Mi wife went on August of last year and she wasn’t to happy with the food. We went together on the month of April and she said that the upgrade on the food was incredible. She felt in love with the resort and she will like to visit again. For my first time visiting I give the resort a 10/10.

To start off, the property is a very beautiful property and the beach area is probably one of the best in Punta Cana. Unfortunately, that is about all of the good things I have to say about this resort to start off the check-in process was a headache. It took forever and it seemed like nobody cared. We opted into the diamond club while checking in after being told, it was $64 come to find out it was $64 per night and we weren’t told that until after they ran our card And when we question that, we were told that we already paid for it and they didn’t know what to tell us .That was the start of a long five days. The entire staff on this resort short of maybe 2 to 3 people are extremely rude and very very unhelpful. It took forever to get a drink at most bars and you felt as if you were a burden when you ask for a drink, regardless of whether you were tipping or not. As for the room, it was clean unfortunately we were only able to have the room cleaned one time during our stay due to $100 being stolen from one of our backpacks while we were at the pool and they were in the room cleaning. As for food, I would probably rate it a three out of 10 for the time we were there. It seems to be a complete headache to book reservations at any of the restaurants and as unfortunate as it is when you do get a reservation to these restaurants the food is Below average at best. Loved the way everything is interconnected. Eliezel our building concierge was the most pleasant and helpful. The Gelato staff were awesome. The buffett and restaurant staff , pool staff, drink staff, everyone was just friendly, so calm and so welcoming. Loved it

The property runs on a app, if you are unable to download that app you will not have access to what's happening on the property. We had a great vacation and would return to this resort...changing/upgrading to the swim up rooms. Diamond club was worth it to our family but getting the right Butler makes the trip even better (Thank you Nauria for a great week, we will be requesting you again!! 5 Stars all the way). The Restuarant's were very disappointing outside of the Steakhouse & Hibachi. The Italian, Mexican & Seafood left us hungry and going to the buffet after. The people were very pleasant with some going over & above. Make sure you take some small bills for tipping; the staff definitely earned it. Thank you again Royalton for a nice week!!

– Worst All-Inclusive Experience in Over 15 Resorts We’ve stayed at more than 15 all-inclusive resorts across five destinations as a family, and unfortunately, Royalton Punta Cana was by far the worst experience we’ve had. We booked the Diamond Club expecting a smoother, more premium check-in and service. Instead, we were ushered into the Diamond Lounge where we spent over two hours waiting to be checked in. Our passports were taken, and every time we politely approached the staff to understand the delay, we were rudely told to sit back down. There was no explanation, no expectation setting, and no effort to make guests—especially families with children—feel welcomed. We arrived at 1 PM and didn’t get out of the lounge until 3:30 PM. By that time, the buffet had closed, and most lunch options were shut down. Our first meal as a family came at 7 PM, after a long, tiring, and hungry day. What made it worse was watching non-Diamond Club guests check in faster and more efficiently. It felt like we were penalized for paying extra. We weren’t given a room choice, no explanation of resort layout, pools, or amenities. The only information offered was that a butler would reach out to us. As Expedia Platinum members, we received no recognition—no room upgrade, no welcome amenities, and weren’t even informed about the coupon booklet tied to the supposed “$600 resort credit.” There was zero communication and zero effort to make us feel valued as guests. I highly recommend! Every member of the staff was kind and courteous. The food at all the restaurants was awesome. Each night, there was live entertainment that was excellent. It was a great family atmosphere and lots of love for the Dominican culture in the air. Great overall.
