Pool repair

The hotel did not communicate on the site that the pool would be under construction during our visit. The parking lot had trash and looked like a dump site. The AC started leaking down into the room. The hotel staff questioned our stay when my wristband fell off but would let anyone else come in to visit the hotel beach. The noise was really loud at night when they had events so it was hard to sleep.

The beds were very firm. The buffet options were very limited each day. Overall, not a bad place, but not the best place.

I am a believer that the hotel should inform its patrons that before they book, they make them aware that 3/4 of the pool is closed.

It was a very clean resort with friendly staff. Great beach area, very comfortable. Loved the entertainment as well.

As much as it saddens me, my friends and I did not have a great experience at the Reef Coco Beach. Previously staying in Cozumel 2 years prior, my friends and I were over the moon to travel to Playa and experience all there is to offer. Off the bat, staff were very unfriendly, greeting guests around us but simply turning a blind eye to my group of 5 and waving us to the front desk to check in. We had 2 rooms reserved but once we got to them, one was completely flooded with water actually flowing, not dripping, from the AC. It took 3 calls to finally get half of our group moved. Disappointing, but we could look past it. After that, we decided to explore the property. I asked the front desk questions on where to locate certain amenities within the resort, only to be responded to very bitterly as if the staff were annoyed. there are many “staff” that walk around, trying to sell you excursions, kinda annoying. During our 7 day stay, we dealt with the smell of mildew and bugs in our room, mediocre food, passive aggressive wait staff at the restaurants and bars- the bar staff being the absolute most unfriendly. Don’t get me wrong, there were some fabulous staff members that we were made sure to take note of their names: Abi, Allen, Angel, Francisco, Brenda, and Orozco from the Japanese restaurant. I’m unable to type much more in this review, but would’ve loved to offer more insight. I’d recommend staying in Cozumel- absolutely beautiful with the most kind people you’ll ever meet.

Beach is clean, friendly staff and close to some tourist spot.

Very nice clean, right on the beach. Friendly staff. Good food choice throughout day on all inclusive. Drinks unlimited. The beach beds are so nice with whirpool/jacuzzi.

All the staff . Specially the pool Bar and the Buffet servers. Amazing service!

The pool was on reparations and there was no notifications of it till we arrived to the hotel. This was one of the main attractions of the hotel we considered when booking. That’s a really bad experience for me and my family. Expedia never told us or keep us posted of any of this updates or offered a other option.

The food was terrible we left the resort everyday to eat breakfast lunch and dinner , all the food was cold and just had a very bad taste. The pool was under under construction with that being one of the main reason we picked this place was the all inclusive but we did not eat the food the drink did not even get to a busy . And the pool looks amazing online but it would have been nice to know it was under construction

I enjoyed the ambience of the hotel... no free shuttle to airport....or if you did paid for an airport ride it would just be one time for that day. I ended up going ADO which is like a Greyhound Service...taxi's are outrageous in price But if you have any more specials for this same area let me know..that includes flight also.

My staying was not so good because they were in renovations. The kid pool was closed. My room was supposed to be the superior room but it didn’t seem as described. Also, they didn’t have room service.

Horrible

The flush valve was constantly making noise, the shower stall leaked water and flooded the bathroom, and the bathroom had a small mirror with a light that gave off electric shocks. None of these issues were resolved, and we weren't even moved. There's only a buffet restaurant and a snack bar, where the food selection is very limited and repetitive. The pool isn't as large as it appears in the photos, and the beach is small, and the docked boats spoil the view. Four days before the trip, I received an email offering extra services like very early check-in and very late check-out. I requested both and received a confirmation email, but upon arriving at the hotel, my very early check-in was denied and I had to wait four hours to get into my room. The beds are too small for a couple; they're not queen-size, just full-size. The crib didn't have a mattress; blankets were improvised in place of a mattress.

The service, the property and the all in all experience was amazing. This was my first trip to Mexico and this place did not disappoint.

Bed was very very hard, beach was very stinky and nasty

This was not whats pictured. The rooms are small. We asked to be away from too much sound and they put us tight next to the pool and the party that was! It sounded like the DJ was in our room. The bed was a brick. The room was sparse to say the least. We left that day.

Me quede con mi familia por 6 días y todo estuvo excelente, es el lugar ideal para descansar, disfrutar de la playa y desconectarse… Todo el staff fue muy amable y hasta le prepararon comida especial a mi hijo para la cena, ya que no le gustan muchas cosas. En general la comida muy rica y variada. Sin duda volveremos… Lo único que entrian que mejoran es el olor a humedad que a veces se siente en las habitaciones.
