The staff were very helpful. Not too far from the Canadian Tire Center. The hotel looks nice in the reception area but the carpets need cleaning and the hotel has an old vibe. Parking area didn’t feel safe as there were many people hanging around and smoking at all hours of the day and night.

This hotel is being operated as a low income or refugee residence, which I want to point out I do not have an issues with. However, it should NOT be operating as a day to day hotel as it is dirty, extremely busy and in my opinion unsafe. The garbage in the parking lot, with a crazy volume of shopping carts should have been a giveaway but I gave the place the benefit of the doubt as the area looked a bit rough. Once inside I was taken back by the state of affairs. The smell was overwhelming and the volume of people coming and going was another sign I should have stuck to. There is only one working elevator, which was routinely over filled is absolutely a safety concern. The other option is to take the stairs, which I would not recommend because of the volume of garbage and fecal matter. Stay out of the stairwells - you have been warned. The room was not too bad, it looked clean but I do wonder about bedbugs and how clean it really was. After a few minutes of back and forth, my wife and I decided it was time to go to a different hotel. I will say that the on duty Manager was very understanding and didn’t question why we didn’t want to stay. They even told me to call Expedia and tell them to call the hotel so we get a full refund. If someone reads this that has the power to limit this hotel from being available to day to day people…please take it off the available listing. I do not want other people to experience what we experienced.

Coming in, we can clearly see this hotel is being used as shelter for families that are homeless. A lot of kids running around, adults that feels a bit too much at home, lacking respect to the paying customers. First my toilet was not working, they kind of fixed it but the water pressure was very low. Then the hot water in the entire hotel broke. I wasn't t able to take a shower after a long road. I was told that I would get a discount by the front desk clerk, which was trying his best. But after trying to reach out the manager. No call back,no discount. The only coffee that was put in the room was decaf. I understand its not a 5 stars hotel but this was not a good experience at all. I do not recommend. They should mention at booking that this is a homeless shelter. I also realized that expedia charged me 25$ more than the regular price. So I will not be booking with them ever again either.

The rooms aren't bad. They are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is nice and friendly at the front desk. One thing is that its noisy. There are many families living in this hotel therefore there are kids running up and down the hallways. A lot of them play in the parking lot too which had me worried about my vehicle. There's also toys, broken toys, and other random items in the parking lot and outside around the hotel. I can't say i would recommend this hotel for anyone that needs a quiet place to recharge. Just only for a quick stay.

IOur experience upon arrival was unsettling, as we noticed individuals using drugs in the parking lot, which created an unsafe atmosphere. The room itself was clean, although the bathroom sink had a noticeable leak. Other than that, the room was acceptable. However, the hallways were not well maintained, there was significant noise at night, and during the day many children played right outside our window since the room was located on the ground floor. We ended up only using the room for sleeping and spent most of the day outside to avoid the overall environment of the property. This hotel appears to house many long-term residents or refugees, which contributes to a feeling of insecurity. I would not recommend this place, especially for families, as it does not feel safe.

Dear Expedia and Days Inn Management, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent stay at your property. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property was not being operated as a proper hotel. The lobby and hallways were filthy, the environment was extremely noisy, and we immediately felt unsafe. One elevator was completely broken, and the other was barely functioning. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes, only to discover people inside who had clearly been using drugs. This was deeply unsettling and completely unacceptable for a place advertised as safe accommodation for travelers. We did not feel comfortable staying even one night. After checking in, we went out briefly for our business, and upon returning, we made the decision to check out immediately rather than risk spending the night in such unsafe conditions. I must stress that guests should be warned in advance if a property is being used for purposes other than standard hotel accommodation. Both Expedia and Days Inn failed to disclose this, which misled us into booking under false pretenses. Given the unsanitary, unsafe, and misleading conditions, I am requesting a full refund for this booking. I trust that you will handle this matter promptly, as the experience was far below the minimum expectations of hospitality and guest safety. I look forward to your immediate response and resolution. Vaheh

We did not stay at this hotel. After checking in, we discovered the building was a refugee camp, which was never disclosed in the listing. The environment was very noisy, with children running and screaming in the hallways and playing with the elevator. This was completely misleading and not what we expected. We had paid $168 for our stay but we left immediately. A refund should be issued.

This property is terrible. DO NOT stay here! Hall ways are dirty with overflowing garbage cans. This facility is being used as a temporary housing facility for people new to Canada. Children were running around the hallways and using the elevator. The restaurant is not open for breakfast as advertised on Expedia.
